I'd be curious to see a true comparison of post-graduation income levels between UNC and NC State alumni, though. One hasn't been done yet, but I imagine the results might surprise a few people.
Who would be surprised that engineers make more money than baristas with Poetry degrees?

You have engineers, we have doctors, lawyers, B-school grads, and both schools have their fair number of baristas.

I've said it before and I'll say it again: a four year degree in, say, Sociology, yours from UNC and mine from State, is going to get neither of us anywhere except behind the bar at Tylers, and that's if we're lucky. Even graduate-level work isn't a guarantee of gainful employment in your chosen field.
