a shame morris couldn't finish the game. miami would've won for certain if so. just like unc fans that say they would've beaten wake if not for the injuries.

I disagree. Miami's back-up QB did a good job, and made a lot of short passes, which were completed, just as Morris did. Our D made stops when they had to.

No excuses for Gio and the Wake game. Carolina has other players that have stepped up, and should have been enough to win the Wake game. But, they didn't and Wake won. That said, without Gio yesterday, Carolina loses that game.

Miami's backup QB had only taken two snaps all season before Morris got hurt yesterday (and those were in Week 2, Sept 8th). He did well but that was because UNC was given him those short passes so he'd take em and run out of time. You want your starting QB in the game at that time.

Miami's back-up QB was the starter for another team - Memphis? (not sure about the team), so he's had experience. He did a good job, and Carolina's D allowed him to complete too many passes. That said, a back-up QB doesn't usually get end of game practice, so in that aspect, it did hurt Miami not to have Morris on the field at the end of the game.

UNC made the plays for this win. Most times any team with 15 infractions would have lost a game like this one. UNC won in spite of the penalties. So. UNC is playing tough football in all 3 phases. I think that Miami will lose a few more soon.

They look very strong! Looks like they made the right hire in Fadora. The future is very bright for Carolina. Back to bowling next year. Who knows, maybe something very special next year. For now, just beat puke and the fudgepack and it's all good!
