Nor as complex as NOT punting to #26 at the end of a game.

So UNC was down in a meaningless practice game that doesn't matter and is mostly used to get a team back in game shape is an indication of how the team is going to be. Got it.

I've heard of grasping for straws, but this is perhaps the biggest I heard this year. As anyone who watches basketball knows, Roy Williams runs a very complex system. It takes time, lots of time, to learn. But once the players learn, the team is much better. That is why UNC finishes strong. Last season: lost to Duke first, then put a beatdown on them at Cameron. 2011 with a freshman PG, lost to Duke first then put a beatdown on them at Chapel Hill. 2010, a Larry "Withdrew" year; you can't fix entitlement mentality. 2006, UNC was having a big rebuilding year with Tyler Hansborough, lost to Duke in Chapel Hill, then upset Duke in Cameron.

Roy Williams is a hall-of-fame coach because he is a teacher. Mark Gottfried had to do color-commentary for a year because of his hall-of-shame actions. And he was such a hot commodity that only his friend would hire him. You'll see the difference between hype and talent; Roy is the talent. You don't win by hype.

I believe Kentucky was only leading 10 at the half against Transylvania College. I saw the game and Kentucky is not as good yet as last years team. Good thing Duke is getting them early.

When you have had NOTHING for almost 3 decades I guess you have the right to be optimistic! Lets face it, State will be good this year but they were allowed to be the projected favorites when 3 underclassmen decided to turn pro. Success based off of that...........they will take what they can get I guess!

I get it now. You're not saying he was fired. You're saying he is a quitter. He quit on his players. He quit on his fans. He quit on his employer. He quit on his assistant coaches. He quit on his admin assistants. He quit on his community. He quit on his Alma Mater. Quitters quit.
So which is it? The harsh truth about getting canned by his alma mater or the harsh technicality described above?

You use every chance you get to remind us about your skills/high income and overall awesomeness in business. Surely such refined experience would allow you to read between the lines when a college basketball coach "resigns" mid-season from his alma mater and receives a $2.2 million buyout.
