    So UNC was down in a meaningless practice game that doesn't matter and is mostly used to get a team back in game shape is an indication of how the team is going to be. Got it.

    I've heard of grasping for straws, but this is perhaps the biggest I heard this year. As anyone who watches basketball knows, Roy Williams runs a very complex system. It takes time, lots of time, to learn. But once the players learn, the team is much better. That is why UNC finishes strong. Last season: lost to Duke first, then put a beatdown on them at Cameron. 2011 with a freshman PG, lost to Duke first then put a beatdown on them at Chapel Hill. 2010, a Larry "Withdrew" year; you can't fix entitlement mentality. 2006, UNC was having a big rebuilding year with Tyler Hansborough, lost to Duke in Chapel Hill, then upset Duke in Cameron.

    Roy Williams is a hall-of-fame coach because he is a teacher. Mark Gottfried had to do color-commentary for a year because of his hall-of-shame actions. And he was such a hot commodity that only his friend would hire him. You'll see the difference between hype and talent; Roy is the talent. You don't win by hype.

    I believe Kentucky was only leading 10 at the half against Transylvania College. I saw the game and Kentucky is not as good yet as last years team. Good thing Duke is getting them early.

    When you have had NOTHING for almost 3 decades I guess you have the right to be optimistic! Lets face it, State will be good this year but they were allowed to be the projected favorites when 3 underclassmen decided to turn pro. Success based off of that...........they will take what they can get I guess!
