Nah, Duke just has a culture of killing people for money (started by a racist tobacco-family, for starters).

The old everybody does it excuse. Sorry, Duke doesn't have the culture of embezzlement and corruption that UNC athletics harbours. (see Kupec, T. Hansbrough for flagship examples)

wow, another one. This is awful. I know this is about sports up here but i feel for the kids that went to school there and now you have to question their degrees. I would like to hear from them and see how they feel, too bad we have none up here.

An employee embezzling money does not make the University at fault, just the employee.
Ask your dad, I am sure he dipped his hand into illicit funds more than once.

Sad is the spike in activity by UNC fans posting about Duke over the last 24 hours. I guess it's just a coincidence that Duke was polishing off their victory over Kentucky about 24 hours ago.

And we're happy to see you confirm the existence of a sad, sad life. That's the first step in overcoming your psychotic obsession with the Flagship.

BTW: Have you checked the night-shift crime log at the Chapel Hill/Carrboro police department yet? Someone might have driven 35 in a 25. You'd better hurry on down there and get us a report.

Glad to see you confirm the existence of scapegoats being paid off to stay quiet. I would've thought you would be one of the first to deny UNC was paying anyone to stay quiet.

You mean like all the threads about the Duke/UK game and Cal's comments?

I don't understand why the Campus Security determined this was not worth pursuing. We are not talking about a small sum of money. I guess the old saying that "crime doesn't pay" isn't true.

What do the scapegoats that are getting paid off to stay quiet call it?

We prefer to call it The Flagship.

Rumors have it that this will end up playing a rather large role in the investigation. Hope that isn't the case but I wouldn't be surprised to see ol' Roy hit the road before this time next year...

Who is paying off the police? Some writer could take what is put up here and make a best seller. Another week another black eye.

Looks like the US marshalls and FBI will be on campus soon. The local police department is refusing to investigate the theft by the fund raising staff, to the tune of $15,000.00 dollars. I guess the powers in charge, think, if they talk about lee hi, no one will notice. They call this an institute of higher learning? REALLY? Even 5th graders don't believe that.

I hesitate to post a smackdown comeback here, because we all know there will be at least 16 more threads created about this exact same topic by sun-up tomorrow.

Such is the depth of insecurity among the poor, pathetic ABC crowd.

    Oh well. LOL
