When Will UNC Basketball Play Somebody?

Other than a league-mandated game at Indiana, UNC's non-conference schedule is again full of cupcakes. Absolutely no real competition in Maui, cupcake games vs Long Beach St. and others.

Meanwhile, Duke has played #3 Kentucky, will play #4 Ohio St., and will most likely play #2 Louisville in the Battle 4 Atlantis.

Hey, don't laugh. Chaminade must be good, they beat the 2nd best team on UNC's out-of-conference schedule.

dook didn't schedule any of those games. But they did schedule Ga. State, Delaware, Cornell, Elon - you know, all the blue bloods of college basketball.

Coach K chose to play in the Champions Classic (with UK, KU and MSU), he also chose the Battle 4 Atlantis, knowing there are 8 NCAA tournament teams there.

UNC's soft schedule will haunt their SOS/RPI in March.

Add to that, when Duke played Maui last year the field was absolutely loaded...ie no one was in danger of losing to Chaminade.
