The dumbest move Swofford made was letting ND in without the football program. That was the writing on the wall right there. They never should have been allowed to join without the football program coming also. It does nothing for the ACC whatsoever. We are hurting for a better football league and he allows that BS.

old orange county criminal college, a.k.a. unc, would fit right in with the SEC boys. there, no one would care if ALL 85 of your football players were academic exceptions rather than the 53 you let in the past five years.and you could cheat all you wished in fball AND bball, much like you're doing now

I think that everyone should start at this entry and look backwards. If half of the people that commented before me graduated from any nc system college all of our players should be ineligible and every conference that can escape this third grade nonsense should run like hell.

BCS is being replaced by a 4 team playoff. 1 team will be invited by one of the 4 super conferences...SEC, Big 10, Big 12 and Pac 10. Where does this leave the ACC and Big East or any other conference? ACC could have invited more teams to make 16 and rework a football TV contract. Remember, football is where the money is.
The ACC will remain but will not be as sucessful as it once was. I blame the commish for the failure.
Having a charter member leave your conference is about as bad as it gets.

Question is...Will UNC be left holding the bag? or will they see the future and bolt to one of the superconferences?

Dismal writing. Thanks. VT has still won more ACC Championships in football than the others since 04. Just curious. Why do you hate VT? What did VT do but bring in huge dollars to the ACC? They (WE) have the best traveling fans in the entire ACC in football. You were OK until you mentioned VT. Happy trails from a Hokie. BTW. I used to know a Janice Davis from Stokes County a few years ago.

But Duke would fit right in. So, when Duke played Princeton they could consider it another home game.

I think I can answer that question.

It's because that one out of whatever is so much fun watching Heels fans go into destruct mode and, basically, shut up for a couple of days. Sometimes, that is all State fans can hope for. Just the silence for a couple days. :)

The Swoff is not to blame for the mess in conference realignment. The almighty dollar and greed are what is killing college sports.

The SEC would be after UNC and either UVA or VA Tech.

State is more of a Conference USA type of team.

state college's "tradition" has been to lose roughly two games to every one they win against The Flagship in both basketball (75-147) and football (32-64).

Why would state college want to preserve THAT?

By joining the SEC, you can put all of that behind you. *snicker*

You are no doubt right about Swoffy. He only gives a dayum about Carolina.

If Carolina (and Maryland) are all that leave the ACC, it will be perfectly fine. The problem is when Clemson and FSU leave. If they leave. Here's to Carolina and UVa going to the B1G, and State and VT going to the SEC. That's the dream........ the previous dream was preserving the ACC tradition. That is out the window now. It's kind of sad.

What it was is the ACC.......if UNC leaves! Trust me, Swofford is working with UNC right now to put them in the best position!

State, Wake and Duke can not carry the ACC!!

You should write a letter to the editor, pumpkin. (And you'll want to brush up aplenty on the grammar and spelling if you hope to get published in some paper.)

Your angry screeds don't count for much here on a Sports forum. Sorry.

Just sayin'.

It appears she graduated when a person had to earn a degree. They had pride in what they had accomplished. You had to actually attend class and pass test. Now you just pay tuition sit back and get a degree.I think she may be a little angry and hurt. I feel she has a right to those feelings also. The institution of crime has taken from her and all the honest people who went to Carolina studied, went to class, in the rain, in the snow in the heat, all the nights with no sleep to pass test, and made their degree worth a lot less.. I too would be angry. This has been going on for 20 years. It did not start last week. The university is corrupt from the chancellor to the janitor.

What do you expect its the carolina way. If State Duke and Wake stays the acc can survive. Let ECU come in and take uncs place. I never was a big fan of vt. I feel the best number for the Acc is 10. Make the Irish get in all the way or get out. Boot swofford..Hire a ECU grad with a BA degree and the acc will be ok. Crime 101. think now . The crime goes back 20 years. Time for a break and rejoin the honest folk of the world.Again I say boot swfoord get rid of the crime element and the ACC will be ok..Ooooh yes then hire some honest officals. Fire Hess and his crowd.Clean house from top to bottom
