    don't get off topic dook boy. I am a big fan of the US Navy and all members of it.

    Now, justify from a business perspective, business ($$$) is what this is all about, how having The Naval Academy is a good idea for the ACC.

    Well, they are on the Atlantic Coast.

    My vision for the future of the ACC:

    Duke, Wake, UConn, Temple, BC, Syracuse and UMass for all sports.

    Army and Navy for football only, for a total of nine members.

    For all sports except football: Providence, Villanova, Georgetown, St John's and Seton Hall (for a total of 12 for basketball).

    Everybody else winds up in a real football conference, and one or two of those is actually competitive in their new league.

    not according to know-it-all David Glenn. I am not saying they are Maryland, but it does get the ACC back in that market.

    I know all of the reasons that people will say this is a good thing. However this is basically trading Navy for Maryland. That is not good.

    I'm not sure Navy delivers the MD/DC market any more than BC delivers the Boston market.

    gets that Maryland/DC market back and entices ND to join full time even more. It is a lot better choice for the ACC than UL and UConn
