By Navy you meant Louisville right?

Seriously, while I love and respect the young men and women in our service academies, this just shows how desperate the ACC is. Is Swofford going to punish Navy when they bolt for Conference USA?

Heels will be a bottom feeder in the SEC.

Well, we know UNC will NOT want to go to the Big 10!

This sounds like 32-64, or 75-147 talking.

(state college's records vs. Flagship U in football, and basketball, respectively.)

Yes! Please God let this happen ASAP. All I want for Christmas is for Kerlina to f_ck off to the SEC with the rest of the hillbilly bandwagon schools.

don't get off topic dook boy. I am a big fan of the US Navy and all members of it.

Now, justify from a business perspective, business ($$$) is what this is all about, how having The Naval Academy is a good idea for the ACC.

    Thanks!

I think exactly the same thing as you except the one or two being competitive part.

Well, they are on the Atlantic Coast.

My vision for the future of the ACC:

Duke, Wake, UConn, Temple, BC, Syracuse and UMass for all sports.

Army and Navy for football only, for a total of nine members.

For all sports except football: Providence, Villanova, Georgetown, St John's and Seton Hall (for a total of 12 for basketball).

Everybody else winds up in a real football conference, and one or two of those is actually competitive in their new league.

not according to know-it-all David Glenn. I am not saying they are Maryland, but it does get the ACC back in that market.

    does Navy play basketball?

Do they have a fan base?

WHY would the acc want Navy?

  • hovis Nov 27, 2012

I know all of the reasons that people will say this is a good thing. However this is basically trading Navy for Maryland. That is not good.

I'm not sure Navy delivers the MD/DC market any more than BC delivers the Boston market.

gets that Maryland/DC market back and entices ND to join full time even more. It is a lot better choice for the ACC than UL and UConn
