Word is that the ACC...

...will hold a conference call this morning to add one more team. Rumor has that it is Louisville.

Maybe I'm just being a bit old-fashioned about this, but I really don't like the idea of adding schools that are not located on the Eastern Seaboard to the Atlantic Coast Conference. Does that mean I have Asperger's, or does it just mean I don't like the idea of breaking with tradition just to add schools in "strong TV markets" that nobody on the East Coast gives a f_ck about?

The most important thing to look at here is how the ACC said "we will never take WV because of academics" or that is what was implied. Louisville academics are not exactly world class. Just saying, that's funny.
In many ways it is a better move than UCONN though. I guess the moral to this story is that the d-league is getting thin.
