Pretty easy seeing he spent 15 years in the Big 8 and Big 12 which were not exactly basketball schools compared to Kansas

Why would the #1 team in the country rush their home court when they beat the #14 ranked team (still too high imho). They were 11 point favorites and going strictly on pre-season hype (potential) it should have been more !!!

And Dook turned out just fine save Lehigh.

The mistakes are correctable, such as not running Dex at the 2 and getting Hairston more minutes when he comes back.

I'm not near as worried about what ABC'ers say about Roy...I'll trust the HOF to be a more qualified, less biased, less obsessed evaluator of his coaching ability.

I thought I saw Roy reaching into his pocket early in the 2nd half for the keys to the bus to warm it up.

  • cwilliams843 Nov 28, 2012

Roy is a great recruiter, and if Marshall, Barnes and Henson don't leave for the NBA then UNC would fair way better this year, but you have to roll with the punches and he needs to understand since last year, kids are going to bolt for the NBA even when they're not ready. With all the freshman he was playing on the floor I was actually surprised UNC kept it close the first half, so a road loss to the #1 team in the country that most likely will with the Nat'l championship, hey I'll take it.

  • 903 mens national championships Nov 28, 2012

fans don't rush the floor when they beat unc anymore. it's no longer a surprise when they lose by 24+, now that's just covering the spread. that's why roy doesnt have to worry about being crushed by college kids rushing the floor.

Hmmm, Gott has superior talent but is still mediocre.

Roy has the best winning percentage of any active coach.

You could be more dense, but it would be hard to accomplish.

It must be a glaring shortcoming of some midgets, especially the ones from inferior schools.

having superior talent has always masked a LOT of napoleon's SHORTcomings...

we're seeing this year, and will continue to see.... what happens when he doesn't OUTtalent his competition.

can you say "fish out of water"???

Roy USED to be a great recruiter, but not anymore. This crop of freshmen look utterly unimpressive. Roy was never an X and O's guy, but his lack of coaching ability really showed last night. Close game at halftime, Crean was able to make adjustments, Roy had no clue what to do. That was ugly. Embarassment to the ACC. Thanks alot carolina

  • BlueDevils00 Nov 28, 2012

I was waiting for him to bolt to the locker room with about 3minutes left. I guess he wanted to stick around to shake Crean's hand after the game. Crean did, however, steal Troy Williams from Roy's back pocket.
