Larry Fedora to interview today for UT job

Well....

RE: Larry Fedora to interview today for UT job

jesus....poor Tenn

RE: Larry Fedora to interview today for UT job

After only one year at UNC? Must be positioning himself for a pay raise. He did lead UNC to a good season. Had it not been for the sanctions, he would have had UNC in the ACC championship game.

RE: Larry Fedora to interview today for UT job

WOW.... even if he doesn't get the job, will UNC look at him the same? He is obviously using them as a stepping stone for a bigger gig in the future. Wow, Larry... 1 year??

RE: Larry Fedora to interview today for UT job

Good coaches get interviews and it helps with recruiting when they stay.

He isn't going anywhere as mentioned on another board:

The contract includes provisions for a buyout. If Fedora terminates his employment without cause before Jan. 15, 2013, hed owe UNC $2.35 million. If he leaves between Jan. 15, 2013 and Jan. 14, 2014, hed owe the university $1 million. Hed owe $500,000 if he leaves between Jan. 15, 2014 and Jan. 14 2015. And $250,000 if he leaves in the next year after that. Fedora would owe $100,000 if he leaves between Jan. 15 2016 and Jan. 15, 2018

In addition to paying Fedora an "SEC Salary" UT would have to front Fedora $2.35 million.

That's going to be tough for an athletic department operating over $3 million in the red.

Fedora isn't going anywhere. UT can't afford him.

So what, that he is interviewing tells normal and logical folks that something aint right in Chapel Hole.

You dont interview for another job to help in recruiting. But I can see where someone with a brain the size of a raisin like you would think that.

Opposing coach to a UNCheat recruit he is talking to. "did you see the news that Fedora is interviewing for the UT job" Wonder if he would still be there if you decided to attend?

Considering January 15th is just over a month away, I'd say he's fine.
UT can afford an extra $1 million.

But man I had predicted that Fedora would be gone within 3 years. This beats even my expectations. LOL!

I am sure you could come off as a bigger idiot, but at this point I don't know how.

I can understand how things related to football would confuse you considering you pull for a school that has not been relevant since WWII.

Agreed. Ive never heard of a coach using a job interview as a recruiting tool. Insanity is on the rise in Chapel Hill. Under this logic, UNC grads will think interviewing at Burger King will help them make a better Big Mac.
