Why do ABCers have such a hard time admitting who is the best?
Why do ABCers have such a hard time admitting who is the best?
As a Carolina fan, I have no problem admitting that Kentucky has a better basketball program (stats wise) than Carolina. I also have no problem admitting that Coach K is a better coach (stats wise) than Coach Williams.
So why do so many ABCers have such a hard time admitting that Carolina has the best basketball program in the ACC? I mean, simple facts and statistics don't lie. I can understand not
wanting to admit it, but simply running away or attempting to deflect when the question is brought up (usually only SAC or Paula do this, most of the other non-trolls on here have no problem conceding to the facts) is simply a little loony, if you ask me.

As a wise man once said, "anyone can makes facts lie to fit their argument"
Sorry, but a NC in 57 and 82, does not mean you have a better basketball program.
That is my opinion and everyone is entitled to theirs. We differ. Why do you constantly have to start threads about it?
You seem a little insecure regarding your program.
Oh, and lastly, no one asked you.

Um, yes, more national titles, more final fours, more wins, more NCAA tournament appearances, and domination in the head to head...all that means that we do have a better basketball program. And just about every single expert out there agrees.
My problem is, why do you have such a hard time admitting what is proven by facts?
Usually, "better" in terms of sports means "more successful". Do you have some sort of alternate definition of "better" that you'd like to share with us? Maybe all of the experts have been missing something.

Why is Shrill so insecure about his "program" that he has to post chest thumping threads like this?

Not insecure at all. Just genuinely curious.

Dude, not sure why you are so insecure about UNCheat today and lately, but we have had this discussion multiple times and I am not going to have it again.
We differ in our opinions. End of the discussion for me.

So you are afraid to answer the questions. That's fine. I guess you just have your own set of secret standards that differ from those commonly used by most experts and fans.

i'm sorry but i'm going to have to disagree with you on the coach. k has had too many losses in the sweet 16 and 32 to lesser teams. the 2010 chapions was more of a fluke than anything based on bracket he was given and the way tops beat flopped but have to give credit to k for getting his team to the fianals that yr. lastly he has never been able to beat a higher seed for a nc. i think things have to set up in his favor for kay to win it all.
RE: Why do ABCers have such a hard time admitting who is the best?
Everyone has different criteria in determining their opinion of who is better. Based on my criteria, Duke is the better program than UNC. Easy enough for you?

So your criteria omits national championships, wins, final fours, NCAA tournament appearances, and the head-to-head between the two schools? If that is the case, what does your criteria include?
I mean, I'm sure according to someone's criteria Sidney Lowe is a better all-time coach than Coach K, but you'd probably call that person crazy until he justified that opinion.
RE: Why do ABCers have such a hard time admitting who is the best?
.... lol. I guess when your team is getting blown out by Butler and Indiana, and your archrival has 3 wins vs. top-5 opponents, you have to start a thread like this.
How's your season going, BTW? Big game vs. East Tennessee State this weekend, should be a close one. NIT?
