I don't believe Fedora said no, I believe this is a case of Tennessee not yet offering him the job, and, so the resulting CYA. It's most embarrassing to have your program, the Heel one, dragged through this, and they know it!

Fedora never said he did or did not interview, nor did he say anything about his interest level, the AD at UNC said that they were not aware of any interview and that they were not notified of any such occurrence, that's all. Their HC, Fedora, left his options open, wonder why, I don't, especially when he was their third tier choice, after all, really now, Tennessee knew they could do better and they did.
