Tj Logan rb NC

Tj Logan rb NC

From Rivals-
It's been a remarkable couple of months for Greensboro (N.C.) Northern Guilford running back T.J. Logan, who capped off a memorable senior season this past weekend with quite possibly the single-greatest individual game performance in the history of North Carolina high school football.

The 5-9, 175-pound Logan, who skyrocketed into the Rivals 100 in the most recent updating of the Rivals.com national rankings, set numerous state records with his 510-yard, eight touchdown performance Saturday in Northern Guilford's 64-26 triumph over Charlotte Catholic at Wake Forest's BB&T Field.

"We went out and we balled and we went out the right way, so that's the greatest thing," said Logan. "It's the greatest feeling, because that's how you want to go out. That's how you want to be remembered. It's a legacy. That's what we were striving for the whole time."
A selection to represent North Carolina in next weekend's Shrine Bowl of the Carolinas in Spartanburg (S.C.), Logan received even more recognition on Friday, as he was named North Carolina's High School Player of the Year by NCPreps.com.

He'll play his final high school game next weekend at the Shrine Bowl, and then it will be all about getting ready for his arrival at North Carolina in the summer of 2013.

As UNC fans await word on whether or not Giovani Bernard will head to the NFL or not, they can rest easy knowing that there will be plenty of talented people in place for the Tar Heels to employ in 2013 if he does go to the pros.

Of course Bernard's return gives UNC a Heisman Trophy candidate, but if not a stable of talented runners, including Romar Morris and A.J. Blue, will be ready to step in and fill the void.

You can add Logan to that list, for he showed throughout his senior season---and his entire high school career for that matter---that he's got the goods to be a game-breaker on the football field.

And UNC will be hard-pressed to keep a guy like that off the field.

"I'm excited (to get to North Carolina). I've got to get ready for it more, and I've got to do that. I'm just ready (to get there)," Logan said. "I'm ready for Tar Heel Nation."
