The same Butler that put up 82 points on UNC but could only produce 47 points against the Mighty Xavier?

So UNC lost to a higher RPI rated team than anyone Duke has played but not lost to?

That has got to be the weakest trash talk ever in the history of the internet.

Almost as bad as saying losing in the first round of the NCAA is worse than not making the NCAA.

    Brag away.

Butler is currently 8th in the RPI rankings, higher that any team dook has played so far this year.

Again, Louisville was without its top player and nearly lost to Northern Illinois.

Dook beat Kentucky by the smallest margin of any of their losses.

Dook had home court advantage against Ohio State.

The paper tiger will flame out early, just like the past two years.

When you are UNC or Duke, you are always talking Top 10 and National Championship contenders. When you have the type of recruits Duke and UNC do, being lower than Top 10 is not an option, let alone NIT appearances.

When we talk rankings here, we aren't talking about RPI rankings. But I can see why you're trying to go that route since Butler isn't ranked.

Please show me anything remotely impressive that UNC has done this season. Duke has won every game they played, UNC hasn't. Duke has beat numerous ranked teams, UNC hasn't. Duke is ranked #2, UNC is nowhere close to top 10. Yes, these rankings don't mean anything right now but that doesn't take away from the fact that Duke is beating good teams and UNC is not.

    Duke > UNC.
    Coach K > Roy.
    Duke's entire roster > UNC's 159 SG's.

    Butler says Hi!

Did I mention you by name?

Kentucky was indeed ranked #3 preseason.

And if beating a defending champion that had all 5 starters get drafted in the NBA and bears zero resemblance to this years team floats your boat, then by all means go for it.

Not based on preseason rankings. They were current with the position they held at the time of the games. What should we go by to gauge other teams? I am open to suggestions. Link to me bragging about preseason rankings.

Is this like your "look at where Duke ranks in PPG, RPG, and APG?"

I think we will be watching where Duke/UNC are at the end of the year. Beating last year's Champs, Rick Pitino, and avenging last years pummling from OSU has been pretty satisfying so far and ACC play hasn't even started yet.

How could they be in the top 5 after Duke beat them? Where is your head at? The top 5 are undefeated. #6 and #7 have 1 loss to the same team who is currently #2. UNC is not even in the top 10 conversation. Why in the world would you want to focus on the top programs when 1 blew you out of the gym and you can't even handle Butler?

if duke were in the position unc is in now in regards to the bball team, then i would most definately say they had work to do on team chemistry and defensive hustle, luckily Duke's schedule is a good indicator of how well we "can" be. Unc has struggled this season with good defenses, butler and IU, but i still fully expect roy to get them goin, just believe that they have to far to go to reach Duke's level THIS season.

Dookies actually believe that Roy makes the schedule up as the season unfolds, scheduling "easy teams" based on their injuries or based on how well or poorly The Flagship is playing at that point in time.

Just when you thought UNC might play in a competitive game where they DIDN'T get blown out, Texas loses to a horrible UCLA squad and fell to 4-3. UNLV's star player Mike Moser was injured over the weekend, and he most likely will not be back for the game @ UNC.

Here we go again, Roy filling his schedule full of cupcake home games. After embarassing loses to Indiana and Butler, I can't blame him.

In a nutshell, UNC has played 2 decent teams, and got ran out of the gym both times. Now, they play about 10 cupcakes, then resume getting beat down in ACC play.

Roy making a nice case for a 2/3 seed in the NIT.
