Yeah I know about NCSU's lax team. It's a shame. I was friends with a number of the kids on the club team when I attended. Still go to games once in a while.

You mean facts that you were wrong about Orange County Remedial's relevancy in lacrosse? You knock NCSU for not being relevant in basketball since their championships were so far back. Please take a look at ewenc's titles. Pre-season you are ranked 4th. Our b-ball was ranked 6th, and you claimed we're not relevant.

    Enjoy your crow, sport!

You were wrong before, but I will admit it has been too long since UNC won another lacrosse championship. But Carolina is still relevant. This year, UNC is preseason ranked #5 behind Loyola, MD, ND, and Duke.

In total, UNC has won 4 lacrosse championships; Duke, 1; Maryland, 2; Virginia, 5. Syracuse has the most wins at 10, followed by Johns Hopkins.

ETA. UNC women are preseason #4 in lax, Duke #5.

State discontinued lax as a varsity sport in 1982 for financial reasons. They actually had a pretty good team, lead by one of the top players in the country, who led Syracuse to the NC in 1983.

So many national titles in so many sports at the flagship that it is hard to keep count. Of course, we all know NC State doesn't have that problem.

We have multiple national championships in lacrosse. If that equates to being nonrelevant to you, then NC State's entire athletic department is nonexistent as they haven't won a team national title in any sport since the 1980s.

Soccer (both men's and women's), football, basketball, baseball, lacrosse...UNC is relevant in plenty of sports (we're routinely ranked as the best athletic department in the ACC). Compared to NC State, which is relevant in....mmm.....nothing?

Yes, "State College" is the name of a town in Pennsylvania.

But "state college" is an agricultural and technical college to the east of Chapel Hill. (And currently ranked 106th among public universities in U.S. News and World Report.)

    See the difference?

I could have sworn the rage was coming from the ewenc fans after TOBy called out interim coach man for their sterling record in academics and proceeded to have his boys paddle the girls in blue all over the field. Shut out....the ultimate burn.

I thought it was cool too. Coach E-With showing his love for his Flagship. Too bad more coaches don't have that sort of loyalty to their beloved school. He may have lost that game, but he won a bunch of hearts with that lil' dagger to the media.

But truly...The BEST part about it was how it sent state college into the stratosphere with rage. LOL! (It hasn't really subsided to this day. LOL!)

    Good Times:
