Wolkpackindahouse, the king of ebonics, wonder if you've ever manage to discuss a topic that relates to "sports" here on the forum. Do you actually know anything about sports? Your comments never reflect the games or the ability of the players to play, just off the wall childish idiotic behavior that shows you trying to be funny. Here, I'll get you started. UNC once again failed to play with intensity the entire game and could have easily have ended up losing a game they should have won easily. Lebo is doing a good job, but that game should not have been close. Now, how about you try and say something that deals with the game, try to stay away from your normal poor comments that have to do with poorly structured comments.

^The murder rate in the US is less than half what it was in the '90s. As you pointed out, violent crime has been declining. According to Government figures released earlier this year, violent crime has fallen 65% since 1993. The FBI's crime reporting program tracks crime stats. Anyway, there has been a drop in violent crime for 5 straight years according to the FBI.

Mental Health issue - The DOJ Health Care Fraud & Abuse Control Program's Annual Report for 2011 tells the story. Agreed...there are lots of people who need treatment & I sympathize with them 100%. With that said, authorities have uncovered some serious fraud & abuse in the health care arena. It is what it is. When things like that occur, you can count on tighter restrictions, etc., to curtail abuse. When that happens, innocent people suffer. The actions of a few always hurt many.

I realize this isn't the place for this but I'm not going to blame you, Hokie, the NRA, or anyone else for the violent actions committed by a few dirtbags who decided to take aim at the world. I'll keep blaming the clowns behind the acts as it's the fair, common sense thing to do.

We have tough sentencing laws for non-violent crimes (pushed by the private prison industry), the gun manufacturers and others through the NRA opposed renewal of Bradey Bill and other responsible limits on guns by those who are violent or with mental il lines, and we dramatically cut funding of mental health programs.

The US continues to have a far greater rate of domestic violence and mass shootings than the rest of the world, at the same our violent crime rate has been declining. Declined even during recent recession.

I hear you Battling. We have the same principles. To be totally honest. I had tears in my eyes at least four times today after seeing the situation in Conn. To kill these little children and 5 teachers, and the principal. What kind of society are we living in today? I don't trust anyone. Lock the doors. Lock the doors when pumping gasoline. Better still; just use a credit card to avoid these culls. Still happy I'm elevated.

You must be so glad to be retired. Besides all the families torn apart by the tragedy, what can be done to stop it? Security guards wouldn't prevent it. How awful. I'm glad the guy took his own life, who needs another long drawn out trial where the mass murderer rots in jail the rest of his life while we tax payers get the bill. I wish tragedies like this weren't given so much TV coverage, it gives other sick-os ideas. What a heartbreak for those families.

I stay on his case all the time...jokingly told him the other day I would stick my pencil in his eye if he didn't stop that stuff. Coping mechanism...when he starts, I just turn up the radio & drown him out. Just my way of annoying him & it works because he hates rock.

Duke is playing well but it's early. You know how it goes....just hope they're playing well in March. How 'bout those Hokies? 8 - 1, big W over OSU & could be sitting at 9 - 0. Hey, a loss at WVU is not a bad loss.

When I heard about the Conn. shooting at work today, it made me angry. WTH is wrong with people? I have zero faith in our justice system after some recent events. It's a broken system, just glad the Conn. shooter took himself out but he deserved much worse. Takes a real dirtbag to harm kids.

OK. Battling. This was my 2nd biggest laugh of the week. 2 lbs worth... I cleared up some coughing after this one. Damm if I wouldn't tell him to excuse himself and leave the area. Go to the bathroom or something.

Duke is rolling right now. VT has looked good too for a change. We should have beaten WVU at their place last Sat. The coach is doing better than Greenburg right now. I see Duke going to the final 8 or maybe the 4th. Still early though.

I'm still reeling from the tragedy in Conn. I was principal of 5 schools during my time. 2 were large high schools. I had 3 gangs at one high school. No shootings, but we took weapons from some when we had a check with the dogs, and the local police department. I took a knife off of a student that was stabbing another in a high school one time. Stupid move. Happy that I don't have this to deal with any longer.

Picking & blowing in public is about as disgusting as it gets. Have a co-worker who unloads 2 lbs worth every am.....disgusting.

Topic - looks like he's rubbing. The Doctor's avatar, on the other hand, identifies an American Picker.

I seem to remember Sendek with his pinky finger 2 knuckles deep in his snoot during an ACC game that made it on the air. I laugh at public nose-pickers, but then again theres very little I wont laugh at.

Seriously? You are so childish this is the type of thread you start?
Sometimes I really feel we have a bunch of 12 year old's on this board.
It looks like Roy is rubbing his nose, he has a tendency to do that when he is thinking. Even if he were picking his nose why would I care?
