"This is a "monitoring" follow up, not a probe or investigation."

Yeah , the same way ya "monitor" or "follow up" on a party undeserving of trust due to said party's history of deceit.

"Once again the N&O is trying to create the impression of some new problem or investigation, when it is nothing more than an interim progress report."

This IS "new." SACS , to date , has not been involved. Read the story. Two words for ya from the beginning of the article...."This week."

"Irrelevant, as far as all the rankings are concerned. Woooooo!"

True but we're talkin' academics as they relate to athletics at UNC-CHeat NOT academics only , straw man. Understandable that SMUNC fans are proud of the academics there. Less understandable is their pride in the farce made of it by those who implemented decades-long systemic academic corruption simply to win ball games.

I normally agree with most your posts, but not this one. SACS is THE only thing that matters in College Administration. Problems with SACS ABSOLUTELY will change a university.

SACS ..... IS... the only review that matters in all your mess. This is the only review that anyone that cares about unc-CHeat should be worried about. If you don't understand this, you do NOT understand college administration.
As I've said and written many times, I don't care about the NCAA. The NCAA is the absolute least of unc-CHeat's worries. This is huge with massive ramifications. Far, FAR bigger than athletics.

If he wanted to be with best basketball team he would be at NC State. If he wanted best academic he would be at DUKE. If he wanted to be best in crime lying and cheating he is right where he needs to be. UNC Crime incorporated.

We're holding out own in recruiting. Can't help it if a player doesn't want to play for the best program in the ACC!

Good deflection. As long as this continues to slow down your recruiting, I am very pleased.

Do we need to go through the list of the top hoops players that have eliminated or not even considered UNCheat since the scandals? Naa

So all those academic scandals reported on by news agencies were praise? Talk about selective hearing.

Good! Every time an agency or organization reviews UNC's academics, we typically end up getting nationally lauded or praised. Such is life at the flagship!
