When The Flagship scores 93 points, not many teams can beat us. You ABCers may have been all worked up about this game, but we were not.

What saved UNC was they were playing RPI #253 that day. Just about anyone else in D-1 would've pulled a Butler.

ECU was a play or maybe two away from pulling a real deal. FT's saved UNC. Best guess.

I was standing there when ECU came out of the tunnel and they were pretty big. Lebo has done a fantastic job with this team and is building on the success of last year.

I think you might be right about Roy's replacement. He is doing a great job at ECU. I kind of wish ECU were put on the schedule and we played them every year. I would like to see them in the ACC. Lebo had done his best at scouting UNC and focusing on their weaknesses.

ECU basketball has been on the rise and this game was just an illustration for those that were unaware. Perhaps when the realignment is complete the nBE will offer a high level of BB even without the Catholic 7. If UCONN, Cin., and Temple are a part of the conference that's some awfully good company, high profile markets, and the opportunity to bring in recruits that didn't consider the Pirates in the past. Maybe some NC talent normally going to an ACC school and some northeastern high schoolers will end up in Greenville.

Why would we "hate" to admit that a UNC guy is getting the job done at ECU. Jeff has recruited well and coached well. ECU has gotten nothing but love on this thread. Don't turn Red Ragesque on us now.

Heels giving up 87 to ECU is no more of a problem than Duke only able to put up 67 on VCU.

I really liked how Lebo coached his team yesterday. He is in control, calm, and poised. His players feed off of this and they showed it. Lebo will latch onto a large school in a few more years.

I agree. They seemed calm and controlled even when way down. They really shot the ball well.

I get your point... ECU is not great.

So what does that say about Carolina barely beating them at home and getting the calls from Karl Hess?

Not sure why CNNSI.com says it has been updated when it hasn't, but that's fine.

Butler's performance against Indiana supplanted State. They got four more votes than we did.

That's kool and the gang. State dropped for reasons beyond our control. We've won our last two games convincingly.

The polls don't bother me. State is good, and eventually the polls will reflect that. We should be top-15, not 25-26. Carolina will be tumbling shortly. Just have patience, grasshoppah. It's coming. :)

No. What I linked to was the coaches poll, the exact same poll that is on ESPN.

This is what you linked to:

UNC has talent--no doubt. The defense is playing in spurts over this early season. They need to get this worked out soon. The ACC begins in early January, and they may hit a snag with a few teams early until these guys step forward.

Wrong. State is in the AP and (real) Coach's polls. Not the cornball "USA Today" poll. But Carolina is also out of the CBS poll.

    Here they are:
