Still no independent investigation at UNC

The Jim Martin "review" was no doubt supposed to give the appearance of being an independent investigation. But it is nothing of the sort. First of all, to be truly "independent", someone outside of Carolina would have to pick WHO conducts it. When you choose your own investigator, it ain't an independent investigation. Sorry.

Secondly, Martin's task was VERY LIMITED in scope: To see if the academic irregularities that have already been found from 2007 to 2011 go back further.

The problem with that is the past is where the problems lie, that have yet to be discovered and revealed. Until the past is fully revealed, it HAS to be dwelt upon.

Most murderers would like for people to ignore their past, too.

Garbage. So he was told he could look anywhere he wants but his scope was narrow? Link? This NC State grad reporter is far less independent than what he implies about Martin. What a joke.
