Serious UNC question
Not looking for the jabbing, but really a serious question.
If 40% of the AFAM classes were deemed questionable at best, what does this mean from the accreditation group that wanted to see the findings also? Does this hit UNC academically?
Again, I'm posting on the Caroina board because I want input from those it may affect.
RE: Serious UNC question
First, it doesn't affect me at all.
Second, I don't imagine the accreditation of the entire University is in jeopardy because of the proven or potential anomalies of 216 courses over a 15 year time frame. But time will tell.

none of your "degress" came from AFAM classes?
RE: Serious UNC question
To put it in more perspective, out of 172,580 courses analyzed over 10 years, they identified 216 potential problems. Obviously, the preference would be for that 216 to be lower or 0. But given that the problem group represents less than 1% of the total course offerings, I doubt it will have a large impact on UNC academically.
But again, time will tell.
Nope

They didn't. Just as I'm sure none of yours came from Duke.

no, i never got a "degress" from Duke.....not sure anyone did. I will have to check on it.
RE: Serious UNC question
I understand degrees do not come frmo AFAM. But they count as course hours toward graduation. That is what I am referring to.
