    OK they are #27. No biggie. A win at Virginia on Sunday will have them ranked next Monday. Credibility? I didn't know I was trying to be credible. What is your credibility? Oh that's right a troll on a sports forum. Wow.

    The defense of Texas or Butler would never be like this;

    The last game they played they brought the A game. Sure it may not have been the best team in the country, but the way they played that game they could of beat almost anyone. If they played Butler or Texas the way they played last game they would of won. Unfortunately they have been very inconsistent, and haven't really had leadership. Talent isn't the issue, they have plenty of that. The issue is they have had no one stepping up and taking the leadership roll, I see that leader being Harriston or Bullock. Also every game they lose they don't really take many 3's. This is a guard heavy team this season and they need to play as such. I like it when they play the small lineup.

    You mean the last 10 minutes of that half where Butler was up by 29 points and fell asleep? I would not advise using a game where in the half that I was proud of was against a team that had already won and where the only man on Butler's team that could sniff 7 foot was on the bench in foul trouble. So if A game = 8 minutes of solid play against a team that has already won, then congrats!

    I have seen glimpses of their A game. One example is the 2nd half against Butler.

    Problem is, they don't really HAVE an "A" game this year.

    That's fine. I truly believe UNC will pull out the win. If they bring their A game then yes they easily have the talent to pull it off. Am I 100% certain? No because this team hasn't been consistent, but I still think they can win this game. If I'm wrong, then no biggie, it's just a game to me.

    McNeese State and ECU are their "best wins". That's why I think they lose heinously to UNLV.

    If UNC beats UNLV, I will take them seriously. Until then, they are a mediocre team with McNeese St as their highest RPI win. Laughable.

    No worries we will be ranked again next week. Not that it matters but some people seem to put a lot of energy into worrying about such trivial things.

    That was a hard year...this team really has to step up on toughness and making smart passes but I think they can do it...the ACC looks kinda weak below Duke and State (yes, including my Heels) but I think Carolina can pick up enough ACC wins to get in the Big Dance.

    So then what does that say about your #3 NIT banner?

  • anderson Dec 27, 2012

    Successful will only be if they make the Big Dance.

    It's official. UNC is now unranked in both the ESPN/USA Today and AP Polls, as well as being unmentioned in ESPN's Power Rankings.

    At this point, would a NIT Finals birth be a successful season?
