You're welcome. I thought you might like that. Good luck to the Wolfpack in the big dance!!!
And GO ALBANY!

Then you understand why State cannot pull for Carolina this time of year. Nothing personal. It's a rivalry thing. :)
Besides, pulling for State is like pulling for your kid brother to do well. Until we're a perennial threat in basketball, there's no harm in pulling for State. But let State win a couple of national championships in the next decade, and you'll feel the same way about State. We've been so bad for so long, it's probably become OK for you not to hate us so much. We need to change that. :)

Nice. Thanks, Beast!
It will take a monumental effort to beat Indiana, though. That write-up almost makes it sound like a foregone conclusion.

... this time of year, but I can't pull for dook. I just can't!

Wrong. Kansas playing Wichita State doesn't pull in a big TV audience. Roy Williams coaching against his old team that he betrayed brings in additional drama.

Nope. Mid majors make it exciting for the fans that want to see David slay Goliath.
The NCAA sets matchups that it hopes will be good draws. Otherwise, they'd just let a computer select teams and then randomly place them in the brackets. They put teams together for drama purposes sometimes.
And people love big upsets. I think they intentionally put good teams at the 12 seed, and overrank some lesser teams into the 5 seed. Then when the 12's "upset" the 5's, the fans love it and talk about it. Those upsets don't just happen magically. I think the NCAA sets the ball in motion, and then hopes for certain outcomes. It's a big-money business, too, not just an organization that lets Carolina get away with murder.

The Wolfpack spent a good portion of the season sleepwalking through their ACC slate; hence their underachieving No. 8 seed. But Indiana is vulnerable as the No. 1, and the Wolfpack need only to pull a single upset over the Hoosiers and they'll be in excellent position to make a run to the Final Four.
Lorenzo Brown and C.J. Leslie will be playing in the NBA next year at this time and Richard Howell is a rebounding force. All five starters average at least 12 points per game, and four of the five are upperclassmen. This is a veteran team that's very tough to shut down on the offensive end. The Wolfpack have the requisite size and athleticism to pull off an upset or two, and I'd like their chances in an Elite Eight rematch against No. 2 seed Miami.

No, but they didn't have to put UNC and Kansas in that bracket. You think that was purely by accident?
TruthBKnown Banned Again01 Mar 18, 3:21 p.m.
No, that was because we lost Lorenzo Brown for 3 games, and he was at less than 100% for a couple more after that.
