Pennsylvania Governor suing NCAA

Thought it was newsworthy. I personally think the NCAA will be shunned by the major schools within 10 years and will cease to exist as we know it. I also hope they do.
The NCAA is nothing more that legalized mafia. Just like the unions of this country.

Yeah, as terrible as the entire situation at psu was, the ncaa penalties seemed overly harsh to incoming classes and the huge financial penalty smacked of an extorted money grab. Although the stated purpose for the money might sound admirable, the ncaa would hardly seem the most trustworthy organization to administer such a program, which is ill-defined at best at this point. I personally believed that any such fines should have had at their core a desire to recompense the actual victims in the case. As it was, it seemed the ncaa just wanted to hit the trough first.

We need to join Penn. St. in the lawsuit, also. If the NCAA had kept their nose out of our business, with no classes and guaranteed grades, we could have probably kept that dang bell.

Totally agree. And I don't think they are the least bit surprised by the Governors actions. I think they have been expecting someone to challenge their ongoing attempt at being a branch of the US government. A perfect example of Agenda 21.

Yup.
Dick baddour and co. Oversaw a decade+++ long cheating scandal at pastel U.... That's far more greasy than anything V ever did while at State.
Also, the '83 team had NO violations according to the NCAA, and the '74 team had ALREADY paid their "fine" by being excluded from post season play the year prior, in spite of going UNdefeated.
Another swing and a miss, by another embarrassed pansy.

Will be nice if eventually the schools can create a better way to organize their bowls/tourneys and keep an eye on one another for cheating without needing the ncaa.
