A big UH-OH! on the Martin report

A big UH-OH! on the Martin report

http://www.rockymounttelegram.com/opinion/columnists/scott-mooneyham-martin-report-unc-scandal-avoids-central-question-1597491

To come to the conclusion that the Martin report reaches, one has to believe that two people -- a professor and his departmental administrator, invented the scheme out of whole cloth and without intending to benefit athletes.

One also must believe that football and basketball players found out about the courses through osmosis.

The evidence from investigative reporters Dan Kane and Andy Curliss of The (Raleigh) News & Observer establishes an open-and-shut case that it simply didn't happen that way.

OUCH!

And you Holes thought that report would be the end of this. Not by a dayum sight!

Still, they continue to deceive themselves that the stain can be washed away without answering it.

RE: A big UH-OH! on the Martin report

Looks like the Martin report just bought you guys a good Christmas and New Years.

Now the adults are in charge of things again.

Far far far from over.

Enjoy!

The weaknesses include a sweeping conclusion that the scandal is "isolated" and is academic in its origins and not athletic.

How Martin et al could reach that conclusion without answering the most basic question facing the university, the one that all those associated with UNC-Chapel Hill appear willing to go to any lengths to avoid, is a mystery.

That's what some people do when they don't have anything else with which to respond besides "#WOOOT!" or "#HEELBLOOD!"

The good thing, though, is that they don't have to say or do anything. This scandal is all over their beloved basketball, and it's nowhere near being done yet.

Look Matrin Is a politician. Do you really think he is capable of telling the truth. That is why they hired him.[b] The cover up continues. BUT THE TRUTH WILL COME OUT AND SO WILL THE NCAA.

Why call anyone names? TBK has always been focused more with off the field happenings instead of what's happening on the field. In his mind this will explain States horrible 20+ years of athletics! Statue of limitations have kicked in and the football team is paying for the sins of the academic world with 3 years probation. There will NEVER be any more facts presented, only opinions! The Martin report was a independent investigation and the ABC community is upset because they didn't get what they wanted! The ABC fan-base wants the basketball program to be involved or they want be happy! That will never happen so this will drag out with bitterness forever!

Watching pansies live in complete and utter denial, NEVER gets old.

Nor does it change, embarrassingly enough.
