Not a lot of automatic wins for anyone in the ACC, particularly on the road, except maybe for Duke. Duke is currently predicted to win 15 or 16. Miami, NCSU, UVA, and UNC are all predicted about the same, finishing the conference at 12-6 or 11-7. (MD slightly behind.) That means 6 or 7 losses minimum for everyone except Duke.

Taking UNC as the example, current odds are losing twice to Duke, probably (2/3) at State and at Miami, a tossup with MD and at FSU, and 1-in-3 chance of losing at Clemson, at GT, to Miami and to NCSU at home. Carolina could play reasonably well and still lose a bunch of these games.

Same true for the rest of the ACC. Lots of close games until the final minute, mixed with random 15+ margins with little explanation for who won or lost.

Upon serious reflection though, and looking at the schedule:

    Miami
    At FSU
    Maryland
    GTech
    At NCSU
    At Boston College

.... it could actually happen! Certainly no "automatic" wins there that I see.
And Duke isn't even in the mix!

Ouch! So you're saying that unc will handle vtech on feb 2nd?
I have some friends and family in blacksburg that might find that suggestion somewhat offensive. I mean vtech is bad... but is unc any better?

Missourians have the right idea about things such as this, so i adopt their approach: you gotta show me.
I'll gladly believe it when i see it.

I do, however, feel strongly that unc will take Wake Forest down on feb 5th. Heck... maybe even by double digits. I might even bet a samolian or two on'em.
