Forbes - Why I Pulled My Article

I believe that there was not anything factually incorrect about the piece, but I did determine after posting the article on Forbes.com that my writing and tone was too harsh considering the circumstances. In retrospect, the article did not promote the way I wish to represent myself.

"Jim Martin's proclamation that UNC-Chapel Hill was free of any wrongdoing..." Ahh...Jim Martin didn't say that and neither did the consultants.... Has Heitner read the report? UNC has admitted to mistakes, they've been confirmed, they've been punished by the NCAA and they've taken and continue to take corrective action. Poor journalism.

I wonder why Thrill isn't in here posting about this. He was positive that the article being taken down validated him burying his head in the sand re: EWEnc academics and sports.

Ahhh, but the articles by the N&O were factually incorrect. Martin hammered them with the truth and it's been awful quiet since. I'm sure Kane crawled back into his hole, is licking his wounds, and is trying to come up with something, anything, to get the NCAA back into Chapel Hill. The UNC haters joke about how much fun it is watching the problems at UNC continue and continue, well now, it's becoming fun for UNC fans to watch Kane and his cohorts continue doing whatever they can, to no avail, to bring down UNC's National Championship banners. Funny stuff.

It's a really a dammed shame some of these obsessed, embitered ABC'ers don't have this kind of self-awareness...you might actually be able to enjoy a beer with one of them sometime, or speak to them in the break room, or at the flea market.
