I predicted Miami by 8, but 6 sounds about right. Do not be surprised though if UNC takes this game. I think they may be tired of hearing how they are not good and I expect the "older" guys to show up tonight.

If UNC wins, it would mean Paige played his best game of the season on both offense and defense. He will have his hands full since Miami's starting guards can both initiate offense and are both capable of scoring like shooting guards. Miami's coach is used to playing as the underdog in road games with his years at George Mason so don't expect his players to be unprepared to play in a hostile road environment.

How many times am I going to have to explain how "Vegas" works?

Here's a hint: They are NOT in the business of picking the winner. There is a lot more in play here than who wins the game. They know there are still enough dummies out there that are ALWAYS going to bet on Carolina over Miami in a home game. So they have to encourage some people to bet on Miami, hence they make them more attractive by giving them some points.

If the spread has INCREASED since the opening bell, then yes. Too many people are betting on UNC.

If this is the opening spread, it means they EXPECT more people to bet on Carolina, and therefore, need to encourage a few to bet on Miami so they don't "take a bath" on this game.

The average person that follows college basketball has probably seen every UNC loss, their win over UNLV and has yet to even know when Miami played a game. That's why the Vegas line info is based on pretty much no intelligence.

Alot of people placing bets probably can't even name 3 players on Miami's roster.
