I say they have the talent to bite some people this year. That said I cant remember when the ACC had Duke, State and Wake ahead of the holes in the ACC standings......before today

They do. They were competitive for the first 30 minutes of game time last night. I think Miami is a decent team, too. Carolina just couldn't finish the game.

There definitely isn't any Carolina "magic" with this squad, though. Their season is at a crossroads. They could hang their heads and lose most of their remaining games and not even make the NIT. Or they could stand up, fight hard every night, and either make the NIT or the NCAA tournament. I wouldn't expect anything special, though. But the season definitely isn't over for them yet.

Probably so...he and Brice Johnson are the only freshmen I see making any progress at all...James is a SOFT big man and Tokoto is very athletic, but not a good shooter

I agree with this except for a completely different reason. I think Roy is bucking for the "Coach of the Year" Award. He'll pull the team together after losing at FSU, go on a tear through the ACC, and make the Final Four. This way he can retire on top as a "great coach" and Lebo will take over in 2014. I can see no other reason why Williams is coaching the way he is.
