Hope the best for him and his family, and the strength to fight this terrible disease.

Especially if this is the third time for him. Might be his last good chance to beat it.

His Tweet said Chemo every two weeks.

    Not a good thing.

Hopefully his treatment is radiation and/or surgery. I say that because there is a lifetime limit to the amount of chemotherapy a person can have. Chemo is not a "medicine" that you just take when you get sick. Chemo changes your DNA (damages it, actually). Hence, the limit to the amount you can take over the course of your lifetime.

At some point, he could feasibly not be able to take any more chemo.

Seems like it was cancer of the appendix that spread to his small intestine or something along those lines. This is the third go-round for Stu against this awful disease.

I always liked ole Stuart, even if he's a Tar Heel through and through. I hope he beats it for good. Best wishes for a full recovery!

I am so sorry to learn this. I hope he can beat the Big C again, and Harnett Heel is right: let's all pull together for a cure against cancer.

    Wishing you Godspeed Stewart Scott

Prayers go out to Stuart and his family. All the chidish trash talk needs to be put aside. We should be talking about a REAL issue. Cancer is a terrible illness that is ravaging this nation. We ALL probably know someone who has suffered. If you are on this site then you are probably, like myself, an avid sports fan. If so, you were familiar with Stuart Scott from ESPN. He is a class guy who is great at what he does. Hate to hear that cancer has reared its ugly head again. Please join me in praying for a cure, not just for Stuart Scott, but for cancer victims everywhere!!!
