It is WAYYYY too early for this, IMO.

Duke may be without Kelly for the rest of the season. I heard he may actually need surgery that would effectively end his season, but he would be ready in time for the NBA draft. If that happens, Duke might lose more and blow their #1 seed.

State could lose some head-scratchers and drop, or win a lot more and move up. Same for Miami.

And Carolina, who knows! They did look a little better against FSU, I have to admit.

A lot can change in the next 15+ games.

With or without Kelly, they still play in the ACC and don't have anymore out-of-conference games until the tournament. I think they will be fine.

This is not a shot a the Heels.

I thought PJ looked really good in the win over FSU. But as a team the heels just dont look together, even still, this late in the season. I dont count unc out of any game, just due to their history. They have talent this year just not meshing very well and it seems more a mental issue than anything. I will say its been odd...if not a bit satisfying watching the boys in blue play this year.

I was shocked to see that he had UNC in as an 11 seed. Considering how they have been playing, I would have thought he would have dropped them out. I agree, that it is way too early to take this seriously. It is just for fun, at the moment.

I think he's picking UNC to be in the NCAAs under the large leap of faith that UNC will be playing alot better the rest of the way.

that would be a large leap, indeed....thought we played better and gutted out a win but i'm not convinced the ship is turning around for the heels.

I think Maryland this weekend should be a good barometer.

its b/c of the name, and we all know that...it got unc in the nit with a .500 record, a first round exit in the acc tourney, and an 82-50 blowout by duke, capping a 3-7 end to the reg season...that should not have gotten ANYONE an nit bid, esp a home game...but unc got in on its name....if they have a mediocre season, they will get in the ncaa...they shouldnt(if that happens), but thats the way things roll....each season should stand on its own merit, or lack thereof, but it doesnt work that way...teams with a history get credit, even when they arent having success in that exact moment...that is why the Pack needs sustained success, in order to break thru into this odd paradigm of rewarding teams for the past, when they havent earned it in the here and now....that would be like adding the steelers to this yrs play-offs, b/c they have the most super bowl wins of any franchise, even tho they didnt EARN it

TBK is Right, Way too early and the acc race is open. The heels can climb back into it and improve their position.
