OK Battling. Glad I caught this one. Logan Thomas was the biggest choke QB in all of Division I last year. He was supposed to be a top 5 NFL draft choice. He didn't do anything. Our FG kicker saved VT in 4-5 games. I put it all on Frank Beamer for not playing Mark Lail. He played Thomas when he didn't deliver. 15 Int's. Ol Frank didn't have the nuttzs to question our OC, nor our dismal play caller in O'Cain. Frank Beamer used to be tough. He is close to Bobby Bowden now. It's time for him to bow out. I truly hate that VT has slipped in both football and basketball. I credit our AD for not doing a damm thing for our basketball program after firing Seth in May. If you are going to fire a coach, fire them when you can hire a decent coach. We lost two solid players after our AD waited so long.

It's time for Beamer to retire after this season. I don't care if we win the ACC Championship. It's time.

What team has slipped as far as VT lately? Beamer and our AD should bow out gracifully. Beamer. I would like to tell him one time in person...how he allowed our school to go down this quickly. Beamer and I have talked 3 times since 05 in person. So what? He hasn't done a quality job lately. He's a rich man. Win or go to the damm house. Weaver and Beamer should leave VT after the upcoming season. Beamer is clinging for his job right now. Good. Finally he's feeling some heat.

As far as basketball goes, Seth Greenberg ignored dell curry not once but twice when he tried to tell him his two sons were the real deal. Of course, every other coach in the acc missed on them in high school too. But I'm sure Seth Greenberg regrets those passes more than the others since vt was their dream school.

They were talking about Thomas on the DG show yesterday after Thomas said he had made a decision about next year. Some thought he was leaving, and if he did go, I thought something had happened between Thomas and the coaching staff at VT. He had such a good sophomore year and tanked last year. I thought there was bad blood, but since he's returning, I guess that isn't the case. Like Dooksucks said, there can be big improvement between junior and senior seasons.

I didn't know Greenberg was responsible for the Curry brothers not playing at VT. Wow. Seth did blow it with them. You'd think after he passed on Stefan, he would have given Seth a second look.

Beamer doesn't seem like he's past his prime, though, and that's what's so strange here. There must be something going on behind closed doors that we don't know about. People thought Foster was the heir apparent, but I heard on ESPN radio recently that that isn't the case. I sure as heck don't know, but Beamer seems like a good man surrounded by some coaches on the offensive side of the ball that should be fired.

Virginia Tech lost 8 starters on offense including 4 lineman last season.
Blaming Thomas alone for what happened is foolish and short sighted.
