UNC lost 2 points guards from last years team. Stillman White left for a 2 year Mormon mission which was expected. Marshall went pro which was not expected. I think Roy fully expect to have a point guard rotation of Marshall, Paige, and Stickland this year. Instead this years rotation is Paige, Strickland, and Davis.

FYI, Larry Drew transferred 2 years ago. Try to keep up.

When you have had three Cousy award winners since 2005, they tend to go pro early. Best to have them stacked up and ready to go.

exactly THV. Some threads are made for smack talking, and some (like this) are for the people who actually like to talk sports.

UNC should be and is really excited about this kid. Some of his mix tapes remind me of Irving and Lawson tapes that I have seen in the past, except for this kid has way more hops than what you would expect from a kid this size.

Roy has always said that he want 3 capable point guards on his team. Injuries the last several years have proven the wisdom of that philosophy.

Roy is not going to be burnt by PGs again. Don't think he ever expected Marshall to leave after two. As far as Britt, he is not the guy Roy needs for his system and neither is Paige, but this dude will be all over the place. Berry is a beast. for 6'1" (and I think that is being generous) this dude has some serious hops.

Now that is a good one. IC=Idyot Central.

Yeah, Roy never recruits over anyone. Paige, Britt and now Berry. Wonder who the other two starters will be?

Gee, I thought K was the only coach who recruited over players.

  • BlueDevils00 Jan 22, 2013

This was plan B. Tyus Jones is the #1 PG in 2014 and will decide between Duke and UK.

Side note: Why does Roy have back-to-back-to-back PG commits? Losing faith in Nate Britt, who has free falled in the 2013 rankings? I think so.
