You do realize that I gave you credit for providing actual proof like an hour ago right? It took you more than half a day to find some, but you did a good job!

You have to take into consideration, they have been posting brackets since December, so....yeah.

Mostly agree. From where they are now and are likely to finish: Miami and Duke would be 2 seeds, State a 5-6 seed, UNC and UVA 7-9 seeds. FSU is in the NIT. A good win or a bad loss could change things a lot. This already factors in the probability State could finish 12-6 ACC rather than 11-7.

It befoggles the mind why anyone would pay any attention at all to bracket predictions On Feb 1st. Like dissing in the wind. High winds. Tornado force winds.

Lay off the kool-aid, State is ranked 19th nationally and falling. My 5th grader could tell you that 19 divided by 4 regions equals somewhere between a 4 seed and a 5 seed. Add in the fact that more losses are on the way for State, and you're probably looking at a 5 or 6 seed. UNC will be a 8 or 9 seed. Not bad for a rebuilding year at UNC, not good for a dream team at State.

Carolina logic says making the Elite Eight or better 6 times in the most recent 8 seasons is MUCH BETTER than making it 1 time.

At least they'll get to play their games at home again. And you do know that carolina logic says not making the NCAA Tournament is better than making it and losing in the early rounds.

Fla State is already at 12-8 (.600). With 11 games left(6 against ACC leaders/3 away games against lower tier teams), they will be lucky to finish out at .500. That's NIT material, maybe. Maryland at 15-6 (.714) has the best chance to be the sixth team

What difference does it make where State was ranked in the preseason? Carolina was ranked pretty high as well, and based on their RPI, they are probably an 8-9 seed right now. State's RPI puts them between a 5-6 seed.

But there's still a lot of basketball to be played, which makes current rankings close to meaningless.

No way Wolfpack is a 4 seed. We started ranked #6 Nationally

Even a few losses would not drop up that far down as a seed

An Duke will be a 1 seed not a 2

This is a crock, what site did this come from?

acc will get 6 teams in virginia will be one along with miami duke unc state maryland and one other dont forget the tourney has been expanded and the acc is not weak like some would like to think most of the losses have come against other acc schools it is called parity lets have some realistc convo here not one sided out of spite or hate

  • 903 mens national championships Feb 1, 2013

11 seed. Get the banner ready.

  • seedofdoubt Feb 1, 2013

The Acc will not get 6 teams in. If Virginia continues playing as well as they have been, someone will be pushed out and that will most likely be UNC; although, with 6 away games for State(and Miami tomorrow), it might be them if they can't learn how to win on the road. State and UNC have the hardest final stretchs in the ACC. They both could end up having their bubbles burst.

A early look has all three triangle teams in with Miami and Duke as 2 seeds with state as a 4 and dropping and Carolina at a 11 and projected to move up. Sorry state fans after all the carolina bound for the nit talk. Not going to happen.
