It Happens Everywhere Despite What Ignorant Haters Believe

What happened?

And you still cannot associate any Duke athletes with you accusations.

Keep on throwing it against the wall and maybe one day it will stick.

And BTW Hole fans, not everyone does it.

Of course they do, dolt. And that is the very reason why the NCAA wants nothing to do with investigating these things....anywhere.

the can of worms is immense and best left unopened. else they will have to investigate every single large atheletic program in the country.

you forget that none of this (academic stuff) would even have seen the light of day if we had not reported it OURSELVES...you clueless hacks.
- Posted by wmarti

Interesting, I thought the tweets by the athletes kind of expedited the process.

And so you are saying, UNCheat has been upfront and honest during this whole time.

Please tell me you are not saying that.
- Posted by flairrick

don't think i said that...let me reread my post............

nope didn't say that....what i said is UNC self-reported the academic misconduct...that is all.

I thought a tweet from one of the players got them caught? I'm I wrong here?

That is what I thought.

RE: It Happens Everywhere Despite What Ignorant Haters Believe

So you don't think you are doing anything wrong as of now? Really? You know that for sure? You can tell me that the large number of athletes at Duke are ALL doing EVERYTHING right? No impermissable help, no plagarism, no pay for getting papers done (a big problem at Duke according to one study), no sharing of test information to other classes (One study found 67% in one class tried to get the right answers to a test before they took it).

On the Cocaine trafficing, sure. In the LAX scandal and the racist emails, thats history. Sure, it only happens at Harvard, why in the world would it ever happen at Duke!!! LMAO at the Ostrichtroll. Don't worry, put your head back in the sand, it will all be ok.

When your school is caught cheating, one course of action is to claim everyone else is doing it. Or you can admit the mistakes, come clean and still have some dignity. We see which route UNC and some fans have taken. Sad. Just like Lance Armstrong, Pete Rose and others if they would have just come clean people would not think the worst. The problems at UNC probably aren't as bad as people think. But when you hide and lie people are going to think the worst.

Dude, you need to get some reading skillz. I have chastised the Heels and vehemently admonsished the transgressions. Do you even understand the jist of this thread? It's about it happening everywhere, even at Harvard. It's not an excuse but I'm stating an absolute fact, it does happen at EVERY UNIVERSITY to one degree or another. You seem to equate being caught with the act of cheating. Quite a bit of cheating goes on that is not caught.

RE: It Happens Everywhere Despite What Ignorant Haters Believe

Again, I'm not anti-Duke, but I love smacking on holier than thou Dookies. You girlz are as dirty as all the rest of the streetwalkers so don't act like you are going to the NCAA alter as a virgin when we all know it goes down at EVERY university.

Mr. Ostrich, it happens at EVERY UNIVERSITY, guaranteed. Why do you think they need an honor court? I've never seen such stoopidity as you girlz who just can't seem to get past the "We are clean because we have never been caught". Everyone is clean as a whistle till they get caught. Ask Madoff, or Lombard, or Glover, or Mustafa, or Mary Easley, or Michael McAdoo, or the cheats in the Duke B-school scandal, or the over 100 cases that come before the NCSU honor court every year.

RE: It Happens Everywhere Despite What Ignorant Haters Believe

"Gov. Pat McCrory is right. The undergraduate experience at UNC-Chapel Hill is largely a waste of time unless, of course, a student has graduate school plans. I graduated from UNC 10 years ago, and if it were not for the master's degree in statistics I received from N. C. State three years later, I would have no marketable skills today. Obviously there are elements of a liberal arts education that are useful and enriching; everyone needs to learn how to speak, write, and communicate ideas. However, some of the classes offered while I was a student ( History of Rock 'N Roll, Japanese Gardens) were absurdly pointless - which, of course, made them hugely popular. Why not teach "Intro To Fantasy Football"? Not only would it fit perfectly into a 21st century sociology curriculum, it would teach students strategic thinking as well. UNC graduates will always impress, simply because they're already impressive upon admission. But UNC owes its students more for its tuition than just a piece of paper."

And don't get me wrong - I have no problems with courses like that as electives. Just illuminating the hypocrisy.

and you know the music 145 class at duke is filled with athletes, doesn't have a syllabus, and is taught by someone with the same level of integrity as prof swahili?

no you didn't. clearly, the music class at duke is not the same thing as the corruption that unc engaged in to keep athletes eligible.

The 100K in illegal benefits Lance Thomas took trumps anything that happened at UNC.

the tweets exposed the extra gifts the players were getting. but academic stuff with the af am dept was self reported.
