Just heard on the news fedora expects him to re-enroll in the summer, Sounds like this has nothing to do with Football.

I bet that is why Ryan Kelly is sitting on the bench, he is not getting his required salary and is on strike.

And how do we know that Glennon was actually the one doing the work?

Word is Carolina broke their agreement with him.

    They promised him an education.

Let me throw this out Larry like I did over on article thread...

So let me provide some calm in this cauldron of hate...

He may transfer. Just a guess but he will only have one year of eligibility after this year and Renner probably has the starting spot sewn up. After that it will probably be Summers if Williams leaves.
He probably feels he needs to play at least 2 years to get some snaps to maybe see if he can make it in the pros. UNC is loaded with Coker, Trubisky, and Summers so he may have been told that his starting prospects are dim. Or maybe he does not want to watch Renner play this year. I like the kid and he can run like the wind.

Correct! This has been discussed for weeks now on other forums. Not a big deal. If he leaves though its a academic or a personal issue. Definitely has nothing to do with the depth chart guaranteed! He would still be the #2.

Troll, it's a personal issue with him and not the entire department. SMH!

How can this be an academic issue? I thought that was all in the past?

False. It's all about his academics, has nothing to do with the depth chart.

According to Coach Fedora (today), Williams is still part of the team. He is expected to be enrolled in the summer session, and be eligible to play in the fall.

A self-study course is a self-study course. Obviously NC State athletics loves them as much as Carolina does. I can't imagine an athlete at Carolina taking only online courses during the season, but I guess we have higher standards here.

If Glennon's classes had a syllabus, that fact alone makes them more real than the classes taken by UNC athletes.

  • kato_karma.v4 Feb 4, 2013

Luckily for Glennon, he had a gut-less head coach named TOBy.

    But back on topic.

Ya hate to lose a talent like Marquise, but Mitch Trubisky appears to be the real deal (7th-ranked dual-threat QB) that was getting serious inquiries from the SEC, etc.

And luckily for Glennon, there is a massive difference between taking a distance education class and not having to attend classes that were not approved to be taught as "self-study" courses.

My bad, he had one class on campus during his last two football seasons. One. And his senior season, that was zero.

So what was that about not having to attend class again? Looks like Glennon is an expert in that.

You said he didn't have to set foot on campus his last 2 years. The article you posted clearly proves you wrong.

How exactly do you "attend" an online course? Dude didn't have to step foot on campus during his senior season and when he was in grad school he was only on campus for 3 hours every Monday night. Talk about "no-show" classes.

"Glennon returns to the Wolfpack as a graduate student, and he's pursuing his master's degree in liberal arts. He'll have a manageable nine-hour academic schedule, with only one course that requires him to be in a classroom setting"

Looks like he did attend classes for grad school. Oops!!!

Thought it said he was the backup this year after redshirting. So how is he third on the depth chart.

And how does the staff already know the new guy is better than this guy when he hasnt been on campus yet.

Probably. Kinda hard to be content with being a good QB when you are 3rd on the depth chart and the school you play for is still recruiting studs in your position. Can't blame him if he does want to go somewhere where he'll have a better chance to start.
