LOL +1924 (<-- The Year of Hurtful.)

Some of these Carolina fans apparently think Roy is going to drive a Ferrari into the Big Dance each and every year.

Some years, it's just going to be a Prius.

    We're good with it.

(We just don't want it to be a Pinto, like dook usually drives: looks all shiny and new, then gets rear-ended by Lehigh. KAPOWEE!!! guhchortL)

I remember that, regardless of the talent level in this rivalry, the unexpected always happens. Like the old adage, the only thing for sure is that nothing is for sure.

I DO expect UNC to come out and play hard. They will not back down from Duke. They just don't have the talent to stay with Duke...esp. in Cameron. Just MHWPO.

Swofford sends his hand picked officials to make sure carolina wins. They have no other ranked teams to play and absolutely must have a signature win or it's nit or bust. HAHA

Seriously, carolina comes out on fire. TJ Harrison scores 35, Strickland even draws iron in this one. This is carolina's Super Bowl.

Pretty much although I think Dex will end up with 3. He will go 1/2 from the line.

Carolina goes down by 15 by first tv time out. Hairston, McDonald and Brice Johnson come in and the scoring picks up by half time Carolina is down by 10. At the beginning of half Carolina goes down by 24 before Hariston, Johnson, and McDonald bring Carolina back. Carolina loses by 20. Strickland gets 2 pts. and Hubert get 2. Roy comments that we didn't play as well as we could have, we missed a couple of lay ups and a couple of shots we could have made, but they're a real good team.

While I think Duke will win this game, I expect it to be close. Thinking Duke will have a double digit lead for most the game, but UNC will claw its way back in late. Probably wil be a single digit margin of victory for Duke just because of who the opponent is. Duke 78, UNC 70.

Totally agree. When I look at this team, I see a ton of potential. Sure, they're struggling this year, especially on the road, but I see a lot of good. Paige is very smart, and next year he'll be playing a lot better. He'll never be a Felton or Lawson, but the kid has smarts. And talent - he shoots better than KM did. Hairston is already good and will only get better. I also think Johnson will be a good player; we just have to be patient.

if Roy starts paige,pj,reggie, mcadoo, and johnson and plays pj,reggie, and mcadoo 30 to 32 mins, i think we win by 6. if he coaches the way he has lately, we get beat like a drum.

get a grip dude. That is what they are. JMM is a 2nd year player and the rest are young too as they played behind the 4 pro's we had last year. Z was a senior and Henson was a junior. Replacing a Cousy wiinner is not an easy thing to do. Roy knows what he is doing with his team and his startiong lineup. Roy also knew this year would be a challenge. They are doing fine. not to worry.

Same old story of this season. Heels fall behind early against Duke and it gets worse from there. Roy is, for whatever reason (I sure don't know), out of touch. His recruits look like boys playing against men. I suppose he let Nike pick out the uniforms for the Miami game. If I was a player, I would have had a hard time wearing that ridiculous looking garbage. I don't think they make the NCAA tournament this year, and I certainly hope they don't accept an NIT bid (if they get one).

McAdoo would have to go...the kid is tall but can't shoot and can't hold onto the ball...that big #14 whose name I can never remember and who can't score...ugh.

But Roy is too senile and stubborn to change anything. MY idea of a good starting lineup would be Bullock, Hairston, Johnson, Paige, and McDonald...that would give them three 3-point threats who can also rebound. Bring McAdoo in off the bench and get his attention...maybe he'll get inspired. Don't play Joel James at all until he learns to play under the basket. And Strickland...don't let him shoot unless it's a layup.

I say Dook by 25+, and Roy forfeits with ~1 minute left to "protect his team and staff." As the dejected T-holes leave the court, the Cameron Crazies chant at Roy "how are your kidneys!"
