Did you manage to resolve this latest "Roy Williams post-game comment crisis" to your satisfaction?

Will you be able to get other things done this weekend, like watch state college lose today?

(SMH at the continued obsession over each and every utterance from ol' Roy.)

Did Roy commit a NCAA violation somehow mentioning "moral victory"? Didn't listen to the press conference but Carolina played better. Losing to Duke at home is definitely nothing to be ashamed about. I give credit to them as always for defending their home court and very fortunate when UNC has come out with a win there. Keep stirring the pot!

It's sad, that it bothers you so much. I am sure he had probably been asked the question prior to the interview or what was shown. But, if it makes you feel better, then you can have it. SMH!

Point being, who said it WAS?

It was on Roy's mind. It WAS a moral victory. And that DID matter to Roy. He just doesn't want to admit it. But it's was right there, front and center in his mind. You can guarantee he used that in addressing his team after the game to try to build confidence.

He just can't admit it was a moral victory because it was DUKE. LOL

That's my point, why did he even mention it (twice) if it wasn't important to him? He made sure to mention it a couple of times, emphasizing that this was, indeed, a moral victory for Carolina -- but that he's not into moral victories.

He didn't say anything after the Miami blowout loss about not being interested in moral victories. Because THAT loss was not a moral victory.

    Hence, this loss WAS. :)

So he thinks THIS loss was a moral victory. But it's not important to him, but it sure seems to be.

So... Roy wanted to stress that "moral victory" was on the front-burners of his mind? Mission accomplished, Roy! :)

The only victory Roy wants is a real one - the kind where we score more than our opponent. Roy said it in his pre-game presser that he doesn't believe in moral victories or "pansy krap" (I did have to laugh at that because we're called "pansies" here all the time). At any rate, Roy HATES to lose, and no "moral" victory will satisfy him.

You underestimate Roy's intuitiveness. He knew the media and talking heads were going to talk about moral victories and he nipped it in the bud. Good job Roy and GO HEELS!!

Since when do embittered, obsessed ABC'ers get to decide what's a moral victory, or not, for The Flagship?Since never, that's when.

We'll be sure and let you know which category our sporting competitions fall under, thanks ever so much.

(SMH at the continued OBSESSION with all things UNC. Sheesh.)

Because a reporter then asked him about the team's effort! He just repeated what he had said earlier.

If it bothers you, don't listen to his post-game. I'm sure you can find other things to worry about.

And then he said it again.

He sure had "moral victory" on his mind. Which is odd, since he is so not into moral victories.

The obsession continues for the paranoid wulf fan.

He said he was not into moral victories, but was pleased with the effort. Seems pretty logical too me. Not claiming anything, just stating the obvious.

If Carolina's performance at Duke was not a moral victory, then why did Roy mention that no less than TWICE in his post-game presser?

Seems like he wants credit for the moral victory without actually calling it that. He sure seemed interested in putting that phrase out there.

And since this is a moral victory, is this the quality moral victory that Carolina still needs for the NCAA tournament selection committee? ;)
