RE: I Thought Ol' Roy Was Such a Great Coach?
Funny how the wusspackers initiate this MOWRONIC thread, then run with their tails tucked after getting bytch slapped by Tar Heel fans who have more basketball knowledge in our pinkies than they have over all, LOL.
They'd better worry more about how a Va Tech team took them to OT at home, the same Va Tech team they mocked UNC for having to beat in OT at home.
They'd better worry more about whether Gott is eying any of his players' girlfriends, as he's been PROVEN to have that wandering eye, LOL.
They'd better be more concerned that their team has NO CHEMISTRY, Calvin is a DIVA, and they will implode and possibly miss the NCAA's they were "supposed to win", LOL.
They'd better worry that 2 of their "one and dones" will probably leave after this season, along with Richard Foul, Scott "shoots bricks" Woods, and most assuredly surly Calvin, LOL.
They'd better worry that they missed their best chance in DECADES to win the ACC in any shape or form, while Big Brother UNC has already reloaded for next year while having just as good a season as this "can't miss" state college team has had, LOL.
Enjoy the ride while you have it, woofies, cuz it's very short lived and soon you'll be back where we all know you belong. You have too much on your minds to worry about the lineup Roy puts on the floor, until next Saturday anyway.

Year of Tears!! Love it. May I use that one incessantly?
RE: I Thought Ol' Roy Was Such a Great Coach?
UNC has had only one bad coach. Matt couldn't cut it. As long as UNC can recruit all of those AA's, Roy can continue onward.

Agreed, Hokie. Sometimes, it takes a while to id your best lineup when you're replacing players. It's a process & coaches have to keep trying things until they id the right fit (chemistry). The good coaches will figure stuff out & get things back on track. In defense of UNC, look at who they lost last season. There are going to be "growing pains" when you take a hit like that.
HB, TZ, JH, & KM accounted for 55.2 ppg last season (81.3 ppg as a team) & KM averaged 9.8 apg (17.3 apg as a team) That's a lot to replace, no matter who you are. IMO

Not only permitted, but enthusiastically encouraged!!
I Thought Ol' Roy Was Such a Great Coach? - You Thought Right.
It was close to this same time 2 years ago when Roy replaced Larry
WithDrew II Drew with K-Butter. Roy's loyalty to his upperclassmen and WithDrew II's defense kept him in it, until Roy had no choice but to replace his un-talented "ace".
Butter then led the Heels to the Elite 8 for two straight years.
I see this same potential in TJ Harrison.

I see this same potential in TJ Harrison.
As the new leader of this team, I would like to see him get in All-American James Michael McAdoo's face sometime and scream "CATCH THE DAMM BALL!!!!!!"
(Just kiddin' JMM. Love ya, big guy.)
((But you need better hands.))
