Maryland is leaving the ACC, who will be next ?

RE: Maryland is leaving the ACC, who will be next ?

ddok should leave as durm provides no market and everyone outside durm hates dook. dook should join a D2 conference where something besides basketball has a chance to win.

From Wikipedia-

"The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill (also known as UNC, UNC-Chapel Hill, Chapel Hill, North Carolina, or simply Carolina)[14] is a coeducational public research university located in Chapel Hill, North Carolina, United States. It is the flagship institution of the University of North Carolina and the second largest university in North Carolina. "

Fantastic citations, lil' buddy. Wikipedia, opinions printed in newspapers, conclusory statements with no support or analysis, etc. You've really built quite the body of evidence to support your contentions there - great job! If you find them to actually be authoritative, persuasive, or factually incontestable, you REALLY must have gone to Orange County Remedial College. You may have received a second-rate education, but at least you aren't a bandwagon Tarholer like most of your lower-primate comrades on this site.

Methinks Wolfpocalypse now is hurting after being forced to eat his earlier statement:

"So, to use the term "flagship" to describe any one of NC's public universities is seen as rude and condescending, as well as being factually indeterminable. No wonder only Tarholers use it. "

RE: Maryland is leaving the ACC, who will be next ?

UNC was the 1st in our great State. I believe they have earned the right to be called the "Flagship." There is no University in our great State nor the ACC that has graduated as many top people from all walks of life to excel in their chosen field/careers than UNC-CH. The Stars are shining on UNC when is comes to this one. I didn't know this until unc70 posted this a few years ago. All Universities can also name how the stars changed their schools. Rich History will never be replaced from any of the schools. Withers was a good guy; but he missed this one.

UNC, Duke, Wake, State, and UVA will always be a part of the ACC. Who knows about the rest.

Can't argue with that, Hokie. Is what it is.

The sad part is that money, TV revenues, and all that corrupt this great game....always comes down to the almighty dollar. I like the ACC as it is right now. No way it will stay together.
