Maryland is leaving the ACC, who will be next ?

Maryland is leaving the ACC, who will be next ?

I hope it is UNC.

Me too. Retaining State, Duke, Wake Forest, and UVA is enough to preserve the ACC's tradition and heritage for me. There are UNC bandwagoners in every state, so they'd feel at home in any conference. They need to f_ck off to the SEC or the B1G, and go make laughably absurd claims about being their "flagship."

RE: Maryland is leaving the ACC, who will be next ?

^^LOL!!^^

A lifetime of BEATINGS, in ALL SPORTS, has done this.

Good...no GREAT....times over MANY A SEASON!

(and Poor state college.)

Chafing.

laughably absurd claims about being their "flagship."

^^Still Stings 'Em!!!!!^^ LOLOloLoLochort

And it's not a "claim". It's a definition. And it's impossible for "The Univerity of North Carolina at Chapel Hill" to be The Flagship of any other state. Think about it for a few minutes, it will eventually "settle in" for you, we are confident.

Sorry it chafes, but it is what it is.

no doubt about it. They can taste that defeat already. Once we dispatch of GT and then beat ncsuX, there will be no tie no more.

Being the oldest school in the NC public university system does not make Carolina the "flagship" institution. Once again, I'm not sure that you bandwagon T-holers have the cognitive abilities to understand this point, but no one outside of UNC-Chapel Hill refers to it as "the flagship" of our state university system. That phrase was coined by your loser interim football head coach Everett Withers a couple of years ago, and it stuck with your fanbase because at the time they were desperately clinging to anything that would bring legitimacy and pride back to your institution.

This is not the 1950s - there is NO PRESTIGE in having graduated from UNC. Unless a person graduating as an undergrad, graduate student, or professional student has relevant work experience and good letters of recommendation, he or she won't be seen as an asset to a potential employer, regardless of what school that student attended. Welcome to the 21st century. I would follow that up with "glad you could join us," but I honestly am not.

UNC has been the FLAGSHIP of the state university system since long before Withers was born, and will be long after he's dead. (btw, that "loser" had a higher winning % than Opie had coaching your girls).

So, you actually believe that no undergrad student from any college will be seen as an asset to a potential employer? Sad.
