Yep. Best player ever in the NBA who was coached by one of the greatest, and in my humble Tar Heel opinion, coached by the greatest. Now, bring on the Dookies who will only look at Ws and Ls, and bring on the Wooden lovers and the Rupp worshipers. For my money, Dean was the best COACH ever because he was not solely focused on the win, but those were different times. I know one fact, K will never have a winning record against Dean.

Thompson was a better college player, but MJ toiled away in the Dean Smith system, biding his time,and sacrificed immediate scoring glory for the skills to excel at the NBA level and beyond. The HOF's biggest section is MJs, with one right next to it for Dean. The rest of the credit goes to Phil Jackson, who finetuned MJ into the assassin he became, and MJ turned Phil into the Zen master of basketball coaching.

Let's see...I'll take his bank, buy the course, kick everyone off, and buy a team for fun. I will say I am surprised at how poorly he has performed as an owner. Heck, I think many a fan on here could do just as good if not better. I guess it's the "I am the best and let me show you" which which made him a legend that most likely keeps him from realizing in some areas, he is not. I guess when you can blow money like he does and it not hurt him at the Stockholders Meeting, you can afford to not be great at NBA ownership. I do think he is doing better putting the pieces in place and I like the new coach.

Great interview and stories by Craig Ehlo about his struggles trying to defend MJ. I found it enjoyable and I don't even like MJ, so you all should find it a worthwhile read.

Loved MJ even though he was a Hole. I will never forget get how excited I was when he came back on that Sunday afternoon against the Pacers.

Agreed, Smitty. Jordan is the best NBA player of all-time and Phil Jackson is the best as well. No argument from me. :)
