Hess did have a highlight play of his own in this game. When Clemson stole the ball from Miami and were crossing midcourt, Hess should have been called for the blocking foul. Instead he forced the ball out of the control of the Clemson player and off the hands of the Miami player out of bounds. Clemson got the ball back but could not score. That was good defense by Karl Hess there.

That is exactly what happened. Clemson had so many opportunities to seal the win but kept making mistakes and allowing Miami to close the game out for the win. The better team won.

Clemson blew the game; folks. They had two easy ones at the end. Game over. Upset was there. I hope Duke beats them.

What makes you think this is a recent phenomenon?

Charging and blocking is difficult to get right every time. Clemson had chances to win, an several were from the FT line, and they missed 2 shots at the end.

LOL! 903 now thinks that the refs made calls in the Miami-Clemson game to hurt dook. What a dolt!

The Swoff mentioned something about this at his cookout last weekend....Sounds like the boys (Hess & crew) pulled it off without a hitch.

Well it happened in this game and by shafting Clemson, it helped Miami which hurts Duke who is trying to catch Miami in the standings. So I guess you will stop with the stupid "Puke gets that call every time" comments now. Nah, you will keep doing it since you're a troll.

seems to me missed free throws is what cost clemson the game, they coulda put the game out of reach from the line

the foul call prior to that (on the cross court pass after Clemson broke the press) on the miami player trying to steal the ball was suspect too... looked like he beat the Clemson player to the ball...
    guess they even out...
    sort of...

Puke gets that call every time. With WAY more acting and flopping. That was just a bang bang play. It was a bad call but could have gone either way in real time

The announcers also picked up on this call. Why as officiating gotten so bad in recent years?
