Namesake will always help UNC's chances of getting a bid, even if they aren't as deserving as some other teams. Just look at the last time they made the NIT.

2) Where did I say that I would be personally effected in any way shape or form by the outcome of UNC's season?

3) There is are other departments he can't catch K in also, wins and titles. You know, the important ones.

If you're going to attempt to troll someone, at least put some effort into it.

Poor guy/girl. Excuse me if you are not Paula, you whine like he does.

Roy leads K in winning percentage. Of course he does not have as many titles, he has not been a head coach nearly as long.

K also leads the nation with number of times a #1 seed has failed to pass the sweet 16 (5), and he has missed the NCAA tournament 7 times to once for Roy.
He also leads in illegal players (2-0) and illegal national titles (1-0).

Maybe one day when you are old enough you will know these things.

we play another unranked team on Sat. but we'll beat dook in a week or two. I guess dook might still be ranked then. Not sure!

Even if UNC won the rest of their regular season games, they'd probably be lucky to be in the "Others receiving votes" group.

If Carolina wins all their remaining games, they'll be ranked.

Yes...they might be ranked if they win the rest of their games, not high, a 24/23. The key word here is IF. What happens with State will go a long way to answering that IF. Still think they need to beat some one highly ranked, if not Duke, then Duke or Miami in the ACCT. They lose 3 more regular season games and it won't matter, they'll be heading to the NIT.

Yes, it is a big "IF" regarding Carolina winning their remaining games. Beat a highly ranked team? That would Be Duke! I actually think Carolina matches up better with Duke than State, and I think their chances of beating Duke (with or without Kelly, at this point - he's missed so much time), are better than beating State.

As for their remaining games, FSU @ Dean's house should be a win, @ Maryland probably a loss, @ Clemson, toss up. I think a win against Duke and FSU, with winning ONE game in the ACCT will get Carolina a ticket to the Dance. And yes, the name does help to get them in. If Carolina can't beat Duke nor State and flame out at the "World's biggest cocktail party",well, then they deserve the NIT.
