http://nba.si.com/2013/02/24/will-bynum-flagrant-foul-punch-tyler-hansbrough-pistons-pacers/The NBA announced Sunday that Pistons guard Will Bynum has been suspended one game for "striking" Pacers forward Tyler Hansbrough in the stomach during Detroit's 90-72 loss to Indiana at the Palace of Auburn Hills on Saturday night. He will not be eligible to play when the Pistons host the Hawks on Monday.

MLive.com reported that both Bynum and Pistons coach Lawrence Frank claimed the punch was unintentional, with Frank actually pointing the finger back at Hansbrough, who is known as one of the league's most aggravating competitors.

"It wasn't (done) intentionally but it kind of happened through the course of the game," Bynum said in the empty Pistons locker room. "The game was kind of physical. It was during the heat of the moment.

    ...

"I don't know but I think it's probably the competitiveness of it," Frank said. "I don't know if necessarily on that play he was provoked. I think Hansbrough was going to screen him. I don't think Will did anything intentional. I think (Bynum) swung his arm. To me, from the naked eye, it didn't look intentional.

"But Hansbrough is an instigator. That's just how he plays and sometimes he crosses the line. And guys respond back. I don't think Hansbrough did anything on that particular play. But I'd have to look at the tape."

Bynum departed with 15 points (on seven-for-14 shooting), three rebounds and two assists in 15 minutes.

Back in January, Celtics forward/center Kevin Garnett was ejected for a blow on Hansbrough.

903 is still hurt after 4 years of domination! 903 was probably one of the young uneducated Duke fans who predicted Josh to have a better college career between the two. Lol!! A down year in college basketball in 2010 is the only thing thats kept 903 from hanging himself!

Son, remember what the doctor said. Let it go. If you keep obsessing over Tyler like this you will never get better. How many years of therapy is this going to take? After all it took years for you to get over being dumped by Crystal Mangum. You need to stop spending so much time in the basement.

Bro, I almost aspirated some coffee when I read that. Posts like that one are THE reason I read these boards. Kudos.

I wish there there was a button for "whinning wussers and dookies". It would be well worn...let's just say.

Hansbrough obviously left a deep psychological mark with his historical ACC carrer with the FLAGSHIP

Are you trying to say Hansbrough is a cross dresser. Dang! well considering his mom's phone number being written on all the locker room walls what do you expect? Wow that woman has really drug the family name through it. Now I understand she is being subpoenaed.

Of course he can't hurt me....only because I'm not an NBA basketball player that has to face the Pacers so their coach can instruct Hansbrough to utilize his goon tactics on.

http://www.cbssports.com/nba/blog/eye-on-basketball/21671036/video-tyler-hansbrough-throws-jonas-valanciuna-to-the-ground-In the fourth quarter of a tightly contested game vs. the Pacers, Tyler Hansbrough made what certainly looks like a dirty play against rookie Jonas Valanciunas. Valanciunas hurt his hand on the play and was forced to leave the game to receive treatment. He returned to play late in the game with a bandage on his hand. Hansbrough simply throws Valanciunas down on a rebound attempt.

    Not cool, Brough. Not cool.

You have to wonder if Hansbrough will face a possible fine or suspension for this, despite no foul being called on the play.
