Professor Nyang'oro

Professor Nyang'oro

Can anyone tell me why his head is on a stake in this WRAL picture?

Not seeing the stake BD, but the picture is indeed creepy.

RE: Professor Nyang'oro

The title made Holden Thorp bow out gracifully. He was the DH and el Prof was under his charge, and they were good buddies. Glad that Thorp is leaving. Weak person. You have to have some balllzzs to lead. He had support at one time. He allowed Butch and Blake to cull him out. Courage is a great thing. You either have it or not. Intestional fortitude is what you grow up with. It never changes. Never bow out until the bitter end. Some do get a knock on the head too. Thorp sees this; finally. He will make big bucks and have a cushy job. No problems mate.

RE: Professor Nyang'oro

"Intestional fortitude"??

"Gracifully"??

And you claim you were an educator at one time????

Was "spelling" part of the deal there?

Doesn't appear so.

Hokie, I strongly disagree with your assessment of Holden. You have posted a series of claims recently that are not supported by the known facts. In other particulars, they are not consistent with things as I know them.

As a simple example, the problems with AFAM began well before Holden became Dean of Arts & Sciences in the summer of 2007. Holden was the department head, chair, of the chemistry department until 2007. Nothing to do at all with AFAM.

I don't know what has sent you over the edge in this matter, but let me suggest you reconsider your current positions. Your recent rants on this and other topics seem a disturbing change in your personality overall.

My personality has changed in that too many fans have not a darn clue as to how this works. I have fired down on some so called fans from UNC on here over the past year. I guess I get a bit sick of seeing poster's write over 80-100 comments on one basketball game on here. How in the hell can one person write this many to allow us to keep up. That's Bull Sugar. I should cast it off. And. Most aren't a grad either. Here again. Take this into consideration.

I don't rant until I see the BS. Let me tell you, my friend. I paid monies to your school. My son's school. That's huge for me. A heckeva lot better than some of the BS'ers on here. There are several that pull for UNC that are a bunch of BS's. The change in my personality is that I am tired of the BS's that claim this for UNC. Most have never given one damm dime. Again. unc70. You're in the know UP there. You, nor anyone can lecture me when I spend monies while I was struggling to see that my son got through UNC. Read me. I hope that you do. I have never challenged you on here. I have only supported you.

Well with the "monies" he's paid to UNC, I'm guessing he can feel free to slander just about anyone on our campus if'n he feels like it, regardless of whether it's the least bit factual or not. Right Hokie?

(What a jokie.)

Lux. How many times have I even quoted you on this esteemed Sportfan? You don't hardly even register to me on here. I haven't slandered anyone on here. I don't play the cards as some. I wrote the truth about Thorp. Some can't pretend. Any school that hires a former Governor with ties to UNC is hurting my son's SCHOOL. What say you?

The Great Professor that caused Thorp to bow out.

It seems to me that some that are in the know at UNC should have been trying to rid the school of the Professor Nyang'oro. None. What a darn shame. It's a joke. How can one of the elite schools allow this? unc70. I will challenge you to explain this one to me. Read my rants. You can't hide from this one. Heck. Man. you only come on here when it hit's a nerve.

My money, and my son went to UNC-Chapel Hill. You can read the sweet stuff on here all you want. I have been kind to UNC in all of this. I hope MY son's school will go out of town with no nepotism. The good ol BOYS didn't work this time. Come on back. I've tried to hold off on any rants of late.

it's not about you quoting me, I can't really control that. I'm just calling out the obvious slander against one Holden Thorp from someone who appears to know little to nothing about the man, yet spouts off on him anyway.

Carry on!

I only know what I have read, and I don't have too many loyalities to UNC other than a few years ago. I still care about UNC though when it comes down to my son's school. I don't care that some of the fat cat's have been over-board in supporting UNC in the many scandals either. Mark it down unc70. Anytime you write to me, I'll guarantee that I will respond to you. Mark it. Heck. I usually get up by 6:30 am. Write on back. You need to concentrate on your good ol boy's at UNC that are in the know.
