She will not talk just like ALL the rest because she was & will continue to get PAID.

Yes, which is why I don't believe a word out of Cheshire's mouth re her being guilty of a big heart only. She knew what she was doing was wrong, period. She made the decision to do it anyway. That is why she refused to talk before. Cheshire will probably argue the law, since the facts are against her.

At least according to the probable cause statements unsealed so far by the courts, there was considerable efforts taken by Ljttle, Wiley, et al to conceal their actions from everyone at UNC.

You really have no clue what the SoS investigation involves, neither the law itself (UAAA) nor the actions or motivations of Wley and the others involved. Go back and read the search warrants unsealed by the SoS.

I think that it is sad that ewenc would stand back and let this girl take any of the blame. bmFd employed her. ewenc employed her. It was an University & Athletic Department responsibility. They should be held accountable NOT a student they used as a pawn.

Of course I'm sure she was and will be taken care of/ looked after well.

Agreed this certainly has to grab the attention of the IRS.

On a side note - UNC fans should've seen this coming as Wiley retained a high power attorney from the get go. Seems like Greg Little talked her into being the middle man between him and the agent to skirt NCAA rules not realizing she was committing a crime. Yikes.

I'm wondering when the IRS is going to get involved. All this money(cash) being shipped from various people & places and NO ONE is paying TAXES on it. Tax Evasion and possible Perjury are pretty serious. Life is good.

NC is certainly taking the lead in using the UAAA as it was intended. It is working with investigators in neighboring states, NC and GA worked together to seize under warrant the the records of Watson. NC SoS investigators unsealed evidence that star players at FL and at SC had received payments from Watson; by making this public through unsealed court documents, it became much harder in those states to suppress the investigations. Nearly every SEC school is facing criminal investigations under their states's UAAA.

It isn't a real secret that UNC covered for her. Her parents spent loads of money to make sure of this. It's all in the name of saving her career; really. She got caught up in the fast lane, and she probably loved all of this attention then. No one likes being in the center of a huge scandal. Money saved her career. Good for her. I hope she has learned.....Wiley was used by UNC and whom? Huge scandal at UNC-Ch, and the truth will probably rest for years.

But, but, I thought unc wanted her to talk. If so why did they help in getting her lawyered up? She did just what unc told her to do. I think she will regret her relationship with some of the players in years to come.

Agree with paying some athletes, but only those who need it and only a small amount equivalent to what they might be able to make at a good (not minimum wage) part time job. I do NOT think that the Johnny Football's need to be paid. It should also be adjusted to the amount of hours that the athlete puts into the game in conditioning, practice, travel, and competition.

Kidding aside, I also feel the same regarding any additional impact on UNC. I want to see the entire sordid mess laid out in public for close scrutiny by everyone. Every agent, every advisor, every player, every college or AAU coach, every school, in every state.

Marvin Austin was very cooperative with NCAA and SoS investigators back three years ago when their investigations were just beginning. Austin's version of events involving agents, payments, and various other things were confirmed by phone, bank, and FedEx records and Watson's business records. This is included in the various SoS documents now unsealed. Not clear to me what questions you want asked.

I agree that Wiley could provide considerable insight into what really happened. We will likely hear from her only after she has some deal regarding her own legal problems. My guess is that Wiley knows more about the sports agents aspects of things and less about academic violations that were not her own.
