...with 10,193 points scored, Duke led all college programs in NBA scoring for second straight year.

...Duke has 19 active NBA players and 10 alums in the 2013 NBA playoffs and only six schools have more than 10 NBA players total.

...the highest 2012-2013 NBA salaries are as follows: Duke- $96.4 million, UConn- $75.4 million, Florida- $61.9 million. Duke has led in salary in seven of the past nine years.

...Duke has had six different players selected to the NBA All-Star Game since 1995, tops among all schools.

...Coach K's former players will have made over $1 BILLION in NBA salary, the most of all time.

    Something ain't adding up.

It was pretty hilarious actually. He said that he has his own Sports Blog that he runs and that he actually talks sports on it and doesn't just troll around like a pathetic fanboy all day. But of course, this was all just a giant lie and once I called him out on it and asked him to produce the URL or link, he backed out (no shock). As you can see above, he still can't admit to the truth. Poor guy.

EVERY day is a good day to be a Duke fan....football trending up and up; men's and women's basketball always in the top five and not a trace of impropriety. Doing things the right way, which is the Duke way. I can remember when the carolina way actually meant something, but not anymore. That ship sailed years ago...and it ain't coming back!

What's so funny about the new age NBA player is that there are no true champions! Look at Miami.......the players had to conspire to build a team just to win it all. Classic example of a paper champion.

Jordan, Magic, Bird. they had teams built around their greatness! I'm not impressed at all with Miami and their championships. Their winning in a all time extremely weak NBA!

Not true. You have to be able to evaluate talent to make good decisions about which free agents you sign. The Heat have Pat Riley who is the master at evaluating talent from the same free agent pool the rest of the NBA has access to...

what difference does it make whether you build thru the draft or build thru free agency? the ring is the same either way after you win the championship. And the Heat's roster is not entirely composed of "bought established talent"... Some talent evaluation was required to put the pieces around Lebron in order to put together a team able to win it all, not once but twice...

The result is the same but the process and the skills involved are much different. Drafting and developing talent requires a lot more patience and long term planning that simply throwing around enough money to lure the best players to your team. ANd let's be serious here. A team consisting of LeBron James, Chris Bosch, and Dewayne Wade could win if the rest of the team consisted of AAU players.
