I am hearing he is in bad graces with Roy because he cannot make it to practice on time without the Corvette.

How can the NCAA rule when Gov. Martin hasn't even released his report on PJ yet?

I'm hearing he will say that the "wheels for heels" were available to all students.

Hopefully he can shoot better than 2-13 from behind the arc against Duke this year.

I believe the Judge has ruled that he is ready to groundpound dook and state college this year.

    That is all.

Starting to look like old Puffy Puff may not see any playing time in the near future. Dang, now they have an excuse.

Doubtful. The NCAA putting schools on probation just says "we don't have the nads to do anything to you so we'll put you on double-secret probation instead. the press will eat it up."

So there's a chance it was a Mole in the UNC camp that leaked all of this?

everything I read says the "rumors" are coming form people "in the know" at UNC.

That's what a lot of folks are asking over at PP. It's a valid question. The university was on probation, not just the football program.

Saw some posts at PP suggesting that the "real" value of PJ's impermissible benefits was enough to rule him ineligible, too. So if he was honest, he's out. If he gets caught lying, he's out. He picked his poison (assuming the talk is true, and it is supposedly a rumor coming from Carolina insiders, not a bunch of PP guys).

Didn't one of their football players lie to the NCAA too? I wonder if this violation impacts their probation.

UNC lie to the NCAA? Say it ain't so...

Seeing some of the same stuff on the other premium boards. Looks like PJ got caught in a lie with the NCAA. It's one thing to get an impermissible benefit, it is another to lie about it.

Didn't Obama come play ball with Roy and the boys in 2008 or 2009? Maybe he gave Roy some pointers.

Be serious. You all know as well as I do that playing for UNC is like working in the Obama administration. You can't be punished because you have done nothing wrong....ever. Even when caught red handed. Just ignore, deflect and deny. Sooner or later the attention will turn to something else.

@EricPrisbell: I say half a season or more for PJ Hairston. I thought 3-5 games last week.

@EricPrisbell: was told of key developments in PJ case -- and not the Trudy Faulcon story -- that I would deem very illuminating.

For a unc fan you are surprisingly candid. Good to see not all of you are bad.

  • TruthBKnown Returns Once Again04 Nov 7, 2013

Folks on PP, who claim to know "insiders" at Carolina, are making it sound like PJ might have been ruled ineligible for the entire season... and that the Holes are appealing that ruling and waiting on it.

So we won't hear anything "official" until they hear back from the NCAA.

If PJ is ineligible, don't be surprised if he is reported as having a season-ending injury or something.

Wondering if anyone has heard the amount of games, if any, Hairston will be suspended for. Personally would rather see him play just to hear what the Cameron Crazies have in store for him. Any new updates fellow sports talk fans?
