My Take on Carolina Athletics

A Wal-mart Grad. You are the type of fan that gives our fan base such a bad name. Pretend you went to school there and then post the most off the wall stuff i have ever read.

Glad to see there are still level-headed UNC fans out there. Thank you for being a reasonable person

Again, spot on heelgrad! I'm glad to see this type of perspective from a (dwindling) amount of UNC grads

My take on UNC athletics: Going through a rough time but seems to be weathering the storm fairly well. The basketball team is very good but not great. Top 20ish this year, hopefully better. UNC will continue get top level talent and should remain a national power for the years to come.
UNC football is a bit murkier. The loss of scholarships hurt the building process. Football is not a national power obviously. It is a process and the school must be committed. I do not see it right now. First things first. Clean it up, keep it clean, and start building a solid foundation. UNC is not starting at a place so terrible, its decent, but its a long way from "national power". Fedora can be successful and get UNC moving in the right direction. Hopefully he does. Do not be fooled. UNC struggled early on due to playing tough teams and they simply weren't good enough...yet. Lately they have been playing weaker teams and to their credit they have beat them. Now UNC has a chance to finish strong go to a bowl and continue the looong building process. It will not be done in a year or two. Best case scenario is 5-6 years of continued improvement and the program could be a national factor. No, I do not expect progress to be straight up, but I do expect continued progress.

Ironic post of the year.

My guess, they are one in the same.
The truth about MERCER! Nov 15, 9:06 a.m.
I agree it will take several years to see what becomes of the football teams progress. Fedora is still trying to recruit the type of defensive players to fit his scheme. The defense last year was also not very good but the offense was good enough to overcome that. This year with the loss of the offensive linemen, wide receivers, and Gio the offense was not as prolific. 2 more years of good recruiting and we will see the what the finished product will become.
